Dastoor yaa Sayyidee (Mawlana Shaykh stands)
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, `Azeez Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Kareem Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Subhaan Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Sultaan Allah
O our Lord! Give Your most high praisings and glorifying to Your Divinely deputy from pre-Eternal up to Eternal, and grant us from his honor to be his real followers. May Allah forgive us. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)
And we are saying our salute to holiest one on this planet, Qutbu ‘l-Mutasarrifu ‘s-Saahib az-Zamaan, to look after this humble meeting. And we are asking from his holiness heavenly support. It may be that support is weakest support, but it is taking us to heavenly centers. Therefore, we are needy to reach such a one who is responsible and muqtadir, able to take ourselves up.
O People! Ask to reach upper levels and stations. That is our best effort that we may use to climb from our level to another level. And we are saying, As-salaamu `alaykum, our attenders who are asking for more unchangeable and never-ending honor and pleasure and satisfaction and praisings from the Lord of Heavens. Give an attention and say, A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. You must be an awakened one; don't be heedless, but you must try to be an awakened one, yes. As-salaamu 'alaykum to those, also, who are interested to be something. Everyone is interested in something, but to be interested in something never-ending, you must be interested in Eternity. If not, you are going to be dust. Nasiyan mansiyya.
O Salafi `ulamas! Welcome. Say, Bismillahi r-Rahmaani r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh stands) For the honor of the Lord of Heavens, stand up! (Mawlana Shaykh sits) You are claiming that you are `ulamas and you think, "Our level is over anyone now living in this ummah." And we may reach to two words that are mentioned in Holy Qur'an for Sayyidatina Maryam (a), who said:
Wa kuntu nasiyan mansiyya.
If only I was a thing forgotten, unknown.” (Surah Maryam, 19:23)
What does it mean, nasyaan manseeyaa? Write a book on it; don’t look at other books and make copies of something, no. From yourself, what you are understanding about wa kuntu nasyaan manseeyaa. It is mentioned for Jesus Christ's (a) Mom, Sayyidatina Maryam, that she was saying, "I wish to be nasiyan mansiyya." That is an ocean, Subhaanallah, Shaykh Hisham Effendi!
For what did she say, wa kuntu nasiyan mansiyya.? That is her wish. She was saying, "I wish not to be in existence, to be unknown." Because to be known through our real being, that belongs to our spirituality; second is to be known from our material being. She was asking to be nasiyan mansiyya., not to be known in all Creation! She was asking to be in Heavenly Oceans, to be in that ocean where no one except her Creator, the Lord of Heavens, knows her. And she was asking not to be anything for herself, nothing! "I wish to be nothing!"
But Shaytan makes people wish to be something, and she was asking to be nothing. “Mansiyya, mansiyya, unknown, unknown. I never like to be known. I wish to be in Unity Oceans of the Lord of Heavens, not to be known as a creature, no. I wish to be in Heavenly Oceans where no one knows me; I wish to be unknown!" And that is the highest adab for a servant! A servant never likes to show himself or herself in Divinity.
O Salafi `ulamas! There are two kinds of oceans: Bahru ‘l-Wahdaaniyya, “Ocean of Absolute Oneness,” and Bahru ‘l-Ahadiyyah, “Ocean of The Absolute One.” In wahdaaniyya, there is appearing a spot, ithbaat al-wujood, “confirmation of existence,” from which everyone is asking to be in that ocean with his personality. But she was saying, "I don't like it. I don't like it. I like to be in the second ocean of wahdaaniyya, Absolute Oneness, not to be in my Lord's Divinely Presence, not to be seen. I don't like.”
That is a maqam to which Salafi `ulamas always object: fana'un fillah (annihilation in Allah's Divine Presence), fana'un fir-rasool (annihilation in presence of Prophet), fana'un fil-mashaykh (annihiliation in shaykh's presence). Always they are objecting on that point because they like to be seen as a creature in that ocean. They don't like to be nothing, but they like to be something! And Sayyidatina Maryam, may Allah bless her with such blessings that not anyone reached, (Mawlana Shaykh smiles.) she is happy! But always our `ulama are asking ithbaat al-wujood. They like to bring themselves in existence, to be seen. But the Lord of Heavens never likes that. He is asking, la ilaaha ila anam, laa mawjooda ila anam. Therefore, even for an atom to be in existence, He never likes.
Therefore, it is a big teaching that Mankind now is always asking to be seen in existence, to be honored and to be presented, or to be rewarded! For so many things they are asking to be for them. They are never asking to be nothing, nasyaan manseeyaan. That is kalaamullah, Words of Allah teaching us. Therefore, Maryam was teaching to all people, “You must ask in the Divine Presence of your Lord not to be shayan madhkoora, ‘a thing recalled or named or remembered.’” (Surat al-Insaan, 76:1) Ayatul Kareema. That is highest grant from Lord to His creatures, nasyaan manseeyaan, finished! A drop coming from up, reaching to an ocean and becoming nasyaan manseeyaan.
O Salafi `ulamas! The highest adab, you are saying, is laa shareek Allah. But our egos are never accepting that, and are saying, "No, we are here also, we are in existence!" They are claiming to be in existence, they are not asking to be nasyaan manseeyaa! And that is the biggest trouble for Mankind, not to be in peace in our lives here and Hereafter. If you are going to sacrifice yourself, then you are reaching real tawheed, Oneness.
They are saying and they are making me to speak to all people, but this is a little bit higher level. But mostly common people like us are asking to show proof, ithbaat al-wujood. Yes, they like to show their existence, "I am here also. If You are there, I am here also." That is the source of troubles on this planet. Therefore, the Seal of Prophets was saying, (Mawlana Shaykh stands) man istawa yawmaahu fahuw maghboon.
(Mawlana Shaykh sits) Whoever's day is the same as the previous is regretful. This a big lesson for people, man istawa yawmaahu fahuw maghboon. But people are not looking and not asking what is maqsood al-aslee, the main target. The main target, they are thinking, "If we reached to 100 pounds (currency), tomorrow it must be 200 pounds." No, material things are dirtiness, and the most valuable thing is our spirituality. And now people are running after materialism. Therefore, their troubles are never-ending, either here or after this ‘jumping place.’
We are jumping; everyone is reaching and jumping for another level and some of them may not jump up, because they are carrying a heavy burden. And the heavy burden is this world's aspects and our egoistic talab, desires, which are making people to fall down. A hen can't fly; it is falling down. But an eagle’s reach is more than this and it is flying, flying, flying up. And prepare yourself for`uloow al-manaazil. Try to reach for higher stations, higher levels, the highest, highest, highest levels! It is open, not closed. It is open for Mankind; as much as they can ask, they may get up. But mostly people are like a good hen. It can’t even walk, it cannot fly and can't walk. But a sparrow, brrrr!(Mawlana Shaykh makes a motion like a bird taking off in flight.)
O Salafi `ulamas! Why are you carrying so much heaviness with you? What is heaviness? It is dunya. Why are you carrying dunya? Why are you not leaving dunya for mawla? Leave dunya for mawla. You may prefer either mawla or dunya, but people now prefer dunya. And ad-dunya jeefatun, “This world is a carcass,” and they are running after it. Shaytan is dirty and calls people to dirtiness, to ad-dunya jeefah, carcass.
O Malook al-Islam! O Muslims! Why are you keeping that dirtiness? Why are you not giving them for the sake of your Lord, Almighty Allah? Think on it, before the Last Day and the last hour and the last moment reaches you!
May Allah forgive us, for the honor of most honored one, Sayyidina Muhammad (s). (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits)
Fatihah.
(Mawlana Shaykh prays two raka`at Salaat ash-Shukr)
Fatihah.
