Suhbah at Masjid al-Binah
As-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. It is an honor for me that people all the time come to listen to me, one of the weakest servants of Allah (swt).
A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.
Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (4:59)
Always when we need power, support or an energy, we look for a battery. If we can't find a battery, we try to charge it. So energy is needed in order that we can be able to keep going. And it is said that energy for us as human beings, is food. If we don't have energy, Allah made us that we need food, because energy comes from food. Also, we have to take signs from everything around us. if we don't take signs we can never understand what is Islam, imaan, ihsaan, what is tariqah. We must understand what everything around us is for. Even we don't understand Shari`ah, or not even Shari`ah, whole Islam.
Look at these fans, they are not tired. They are running and they will keep running until the end of the day, and the lights will also keep running. They don't say "we are tired," no they keep running, because they are made to run. Because they have a connection. Likewise, we need a connection to run. so without that source of energy, these fans will stop and there will be no more cool breeze. We will all be sweating. but they are doing a service, they are working for servant-hood. That is why you see them, they will never stop.
Allah gave angels that heavenly energy, that heavenly power that makes them to keep doing that heavenly `ibadah, and all the time to be praising Allah (swt). Today everyone is carrying a mobile phone, and especially the Muslims. When the battery goes down, they recharge it until one day, they can’t recharge, so they bring another battery for. Allah gave us a way to recharge our hearts by, prayers, fasting, and hajj. Allah gave us laa ilaaha illa-Llah to recharge our battery, but we are still running after dunya. And we will use it until our battery is dead, where will we go to recharge our battery? In order to extend the life of the battery, they give to you a network. Allah also gave you a network to recharge the battery. What is that? It is dhikr; to recharge the heart for strength and life. So don't leave the dhikrullah from being on your tongue.
أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Alaa bi dhikrillahi tatma'in al-quloob
Truly in remembrance of Allah do hearts find tranquility. (Ar-Ra`d, 13:28)
Many people say they believe in jinn. When you believe in jinn, of course you have to believe in angels. If you have a problem with a bad jinn, Allah gave you power of angels. The angels will send on them shooting stars from heavens to destroy them, so don't worry. People say, "I have a jinn on me." Keep praising Allah and that will be your protection from jinn and evil powers. Prophet (s) said, "Allah has angels that are roaming and going everywhere where there are people, they follow them. And they go in the streets looking for a majalis for groups of dhikr. When they find it, they say 'Yaa Rabbee we found one!” Inallahi mala`ikatun ya toofuna...bil dhikr, "That will be enough for you on the Day of Judgment, because even that one will be a witness for you." Don't say, "How do I know?" It is a hadeeth of Prophet (s). He said that there are angels, and this masjid is full of angels for you.
Prophet (s) is always asking and requesting, yaa Rabbee, ummati ummati, "My nation, my nation. I warned them, I am not going to leave them.” Allah addressed him in Holy Qur'an, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.
أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ
Alam nashrah laka sadraq wa wada`na `anka wizrak
Have We not opened your heart and relieved you of the burden?" (96:1)
Allah (swt) is saying, "Didn't We, The Exalted One, make your chest full, and I put all My love." It was a question. "Am I not that One, O Muhammad (s)? Why then are you worried?"
Is it according to Allah's greatness, or according to Prophet's (s) understanding, or according to awliya? (Mawlana stands.) "We have expanded your greatness!! ( Mawlana sits)
We are the One that expanded your heart, no limit! You are worried about your ummah? Take it. I am giving it in order that you are able to make shafa`ah, intercession, and send them to Paradise. We have made for you angels, I created angels for you, roaming the world. When the Prophet (s) said:
إن لله ملائكة يطوفون في الطرق، يلتمسون أهل الذكر
Inna liLlaahi mala`ikatun yatoofoona fi 't-turuqaat yaltammisoona majaalis ad-dhikri,
To Allah belong angels who are roaming and checking all the streets in the entire world seeking out those who are sitting and making dhikrullah.
They seek the people of dhikr, even if they are sitting under a tree in a jungle. I am making angels to make you happy, and they are coming to anyone sitting in a majlis and making dhikrullah. This is the meaning of alam nashraq laka sadrak.
