A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. Ayyuhal mu`minoon al-hadiroon `itaqullah wa ati`ooh.
O Muslims, Believers! The Prophet (s) encouraged the mu`mins to give sadaqah because Allah (swt) likes sadaqah. Allah (swt) likes His servant that is doing khayr, good favors to others. And sadaqah is the way for Heaven. Prophet (s) even said, "A smile in the face of your brother is sadaqah."
الصدقة ترد البلاء و تزيد في العمر
As-sadaqah tarrud al-balaa wa tazeedul-`umur. Charity takes away sickness, punishment, difficulties and gives you longer life in dunya and in akhirah, Heavenly Life.
The Prophet (s) said, as narrated by Abu Hurayrah (r), "Every human being has to give sadaqah on his body," or else there will be problems.
Kullu yawmin tatlu` feehi as-shams kaanat `alayhaa sadaqah. "Every day over which the sun rises, there is obliged sadaqah." That is why spiritual teachers of tasawwuf recommend to have a box (or jar, small container) for sadaqah at the door of the house; when you leave home put sadaqah, large or small (even coins), and when you come home put sadaqah. Don't say, "I will do it every month." No, do it daily. We all have this problem. Shaytan makes us to forget to give sadaqah when he goes and when he returns. And if you don't have money, to fix a problem between two people is sadaqah. Anything you do for the benefit of the ummah or the benefit of human beings is sadaqah.
Allah (swt) said:
Take sadaqah (alms) from their wealth to purify them and sanctify them with it, and invoke Allah for them. (at-Tawbah, 9:103)
(And the hadith states) you may protect yourself from Hellfire even by giving the piece of a date. "Take from them any kind of sadaqah." If you have a bakery, give bread! If you have a restaurant, give food! If you have cloth, give cloth! And if a man helps a man to ride on his animal, whatever it is, a horse, donkey or whatever, it is sadaqah. And even if you put on the animal a load, that is sadaqah. Wa 'l-kalimatu 't-tayyibatu sadaqah, to speak sweetly is sadaqah. kulli khutwatin tamshee bihi ila 's-salaat sadaqah, "Every step you take to go for prayer in jama`at or by yourself is sadaqah." Every foot you travel, on foot, by car, by riding, or by plane is sadaqah. Wa tumeet al-adhaa min at-tareeq sadaqah, "To remove what is harmful from the road is sadaqah," and it is an agreed upon hadith.
So that means Allah (swt) gives a huge way to approach Him through sadaqah. That hadith is a fortune for us. To practice it is a fortune. Kulli sulala min ...
In the other hadith of the Prophet (s), he is telling us what we need to do, which is so easy if you pick one and do it, but if you cannot do it, the Prophet (s) said, as related by Sayyida Ayesha (r):
Allah (swt) said:
Khudh min 'amwaalihim sadaqatan tutahhiruhum wa tazakkeehim bihaa wa salli `alayhim. Take sadaqah (alms) from their wealth to purify them and sanctify them with it, and invoke Allah for them. (at-Tawbah, 9:103)

In the other hadith of the Prophet (s), he is telling us what we need to do, which is so easy if you pick one and do it, but if you cannot do it, the Prophet (s) said, as related by Sayyida Ayesha (r):
إنه خلق كل إنسان من بني آدم على ستين وثلاثمائة مفصل فمن كبر الله وحمد الله وسبح الله واستغفر الله وعزل حجراً من طريق الناس أو شوكة أو عظماً عن طريق الناس وأمر بالمعروف ونهى عن منكر عدد تلك الستين والثلاثمائة سلامي فإنه يمشي يومئذ وقد زحزح عن النار
Innama khuliqa kulli min bani adam `ala 360 mafsalan, "Every human being is built on 360 'pressure points' (known also in Chinese medicine)." faman kabbarallah wa hamadallah wa sabahallah w 'astagfarallah wa `azal hajaran min tareeq an-naas, aw shawqata aw `azhman `an tareeq an-naas wa amr bi 'l-ma`roof wa nahaa `ani 'l-munkar `adada tilka 's-sitteen wa thalaatha mi'ata sulaamee fa-innahu yamshee yawmaydhin wa qad zuhziha `ani 'n-naar.
Every one of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and sixty joints; so he who declares the Glory of Allah, praises Allah, declares Allah to be One, Glorifies Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah, and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from people's path, and enjoins what is good and forbids from evil, to the number of those three hundred and sixty-four, will walk that day having removed himself from Hell.
"Whoever praised Allah or thanked Allah, or gave Allah (acknowledged) His Greatness, or who remembered Allah, or who asked forgiveness from Allah, or removed a stone from the way, or a bone or thorn, that person (will receive reward) on the number of joints in his body (...)."
So say 360 times subhaanAllah or alhamdulillah or Allahu Akbar, or remove a rock or bone or tree from the street 360 times, then Allah will remove you from going to Hellfire. Be sure to read 360 times astaghfirullah or alhamdulillah or praise on Prophet (s), and do not forget to do it when you return home, if you forgot.
And in another hadith it states, anyone who goes to a masjid, on his way or on his return Allah (swt) will prepare every time he moves, a palace, a heavenly home in Paradise. May Allah give us a heavenly home and protect us from punishment!
And another hadith states,
Save yourself from the Fire even by half a date.
Look how cheap it is to get out of the Fire, to even give half a date to a poor or homeless person!
May Allah (swt) forgive us and May Allah bless us and believers and mu`mins around the world, and guide the rest to the Heavenly Kingdom of Allah, and to the Heavenly Word of Allah, the Holy Qur'an. Read the Holy Qur'an as much as you can, and don't let it come against us on Judgment Day! May Allah keep us reading Qur'an as much as we can.
