Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa li'Llahi' l-hamd!
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbaru kabeera walhamdu li'Llahi katheera wa...
man yahdillah fa laa mudilla lah wa man yudlill fa la haadiya lah...
fa awdahat-tariqah wa nasaha al-khaliqat...
hadaraat i Abi Bakrin wa `Umar wa `Uthman wa `Ali.
O Muslims! Believers! Allah (swt) made that `Eid al-Fitr a happy event and informed us:
الصوم لي وأنا أجزي به
as-sawmu lee wa ana ajzi bih, "Fasting is for Me and I will reward for it."
Fasting is only for Allah, and prayers are for you. Angels will reward for prayers, but Allah will reward you by Himself with His yad al-Qudrah.
O Muslims! We are coming out from fasting and asking Allah to change our fasting from imitational to real fasting for baraka of Prophet Muhammad (s). He is our safety. No one can go to Paradise without the intercession of Prophet (s). No one may enter except with shafa'a an-Nabi and no prophets and no Sahaba will enter paradise except those ten that Prophet (s) informed us about, without shafa'a of Prophet:
نحتاج شفاعة النبي والانبياء والاولياء
nahtaaju shafa`ata 'n-nabi.
"We are in need of the intercession of the Prophet (s)."
And Prophet (s) gave us good tidings! This `Eid prayer is sunnat al-mu`akkadah, it is a confirmed sunnah. If you miss it you cannot replace it; it is gone. If you don't pray it between Ishraq and Dhuhr prayers, you cannot make qadha, make it up later.
Do you love Prophet (s)? (Congregation answers, "Yes!") Then listen to what he (s) said: "Who revived my sunnah (meaning, whoever tried to do as much as possible of the sunnah of Prophet) and tried not to lose one sunnah:
قال أنس
بن مالك -
رضي الله عنه - : قال لي رسول الله
- صلى الله عليه وسلم - : يا بني ، إن قدرت أن تصبح ، وتمسي
ليس في قلبك غش لأحد فافعل . ثم قال لي : يا بني ، وذلك من سنتي ، ومن أحيا سنتي فقد
أحبني ، ومن أحبني كان معي في الجنة
man ahyaa sunnatee faqad ahabanee, who revives my sunnah loves me." That means to take care of sunnah and observe it. So do you love the sunnah of Prophet (s)? (Congregation answers, "Yes!") So you are going to follow the sunnah? (Congregation answers, "Yes!")
Prophet (s) said, "And whoever loves me will be with me..." So if you revive sunnah of Prophet (s) it is an indication that you love him, and if you love him, you will be with him (s)! And if you will be with him, where you will be? Where is Prophet (s)? He is in the Divine Presence. No one can be with him, but we say in the Divine Presence. Prophet (s) will be most nearest to Allah (swt) and to those who are with the Prophet (s), Allah will manifest Himself to them on Day of Judgment. They will be the only ones to see the manifestation of Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes, and don't stray far (away from this meaning), for no one can see Allah's Essence.
Prophet (s) is reminding us, "Who revives the sunnah means he loves me, and who loves me is going to be with me in Paradise!" May Allah (swt) resurrect us with Prophet (s) and send us to Paradise with Prophet, or else we are going to regret so don't regret. You are young; old people they are already regretting how they wasted their lives. Young ones didn't waste their lives
try to be on footsteps of Prophet (s). Do you love Allah? Are you sure? Allah (swt) tells them in Holy Qur'an, "If you really love Allah, follow Muhammad." So if you want Allah's love, follow the Prophet (s) to revive his sunnah and if you follow his sunnah you will be with him in Paradise.
So this whole message is woven together. This Islamic message is one and you cannot divide it or take it apart: one belongs to the other. So Muslims, don't invest more love in yourself and your family. You must have more love for Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! That is the difference between us and the Sahaba (r): they gave their lives for Prophet (s). At that time, yuhbibkumullah, "Then Allah will love you."
They didn't say, "First my wife, my children and myself." They said, Allah and Prophet (s) are first; they didn't say my money is first or our movies. We are raising our children on that. Give them the small disk and games of Cinderalla, Barney, Dora, Pandora, (laughter). So you are clever you all know that. This is what we are raising our children with now: Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Star Wars, and Harry Potter.
Allah knows, everything that is disgusting to Allah (swt) and His Prophet (s) this world is giving you to learn, to waste your time oplaying Sony Wii and Playstation and I don't know what. We spend forty or fifty dollars for a DVD or CD game. Not only that, they now make small ones that you take on airplanes or in the car, and what is benefit? And you see other passengers on a bus or plane reading a novel for hours. Is there other than that? What they get from these dramas, fictions, and romance novels is wasting their times for nonsense.
Don't be regretful on the Day of Judgment when Allah (swt) asks you how you spent your life! You must raise your children in the best way, in Islam. Don't raise them on secular studies where they don't emphasize Islam. Don't then complain, "My son is running away; they are running after girlfriends and boyfriends." You have to be tough! Islam teaches discipline. Don't let your children (be according) to their nature. If you don't tell them anything or let them do what they like, as I am now seeing children even three years of age, boys and girls kissing each other, what do you expect will happen when they are 10 years or 15 years old? So be careful.
The Prophet (s) said, "No one is considered a believer until he loves me more than his parents, his children and all other people."
Sixt-three years of his life Prophet (s) gave for you! Not one moment of his life he relaxed, and he said, "I am the Prophet (s) most tortured and abused." He carried the ummah on his shoulders! The ummah is not us only, there is ummat ad-dawah and ummat al-ijaba (those who accepted). But the rest are also from ummat an-Nabi. Don't put Prophet (s) to shame on Day of Judgment!!! Do you love Prophet (s) more than you love yourself? (Congregation answers, "Yes!") Then recite 1000 salawaat on Prophet (s) every day, wa min an-nafs allatee bayna jambayk, "...and the very self that is between your two sides." Remember, the Prophet (s) has to come first, and you after!
Ahmad ibn Hanbal (r) related from ibn Masu`d (r): inn 'Allah nadhar fee quloob il-`ibaad, "Allah looked in the hearts of those he is going to create, fa-wajada qalba muhammadin khayru quloobu 'l-`ibaad, and when Allah sent His Sight, manifesting to pick one, he found Sayyidina Muhammad's (s) heart is the best one. fastafaahu, "You are for me; you are not something except for Muhammad." This is what ibn Mas`ood said. What would Prophet say? What would Allah say? No one can understand the position of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) except Allah (swt).
So what can we do? O Allah, we are weak servants, we can try to love him. If you love the Prophet (s) you will be with him and all of you wearing prayer caps and turbans, masha'Allah, show the love of Prophet (s), who said, العمائم تجان العرب al-amaimu tijan al-`arab, "The turbans are crowns of Muslims, of Arabs" ...man a`azzahu a`azzahullah, "Whoever honors it, Allah honors and whoever dishonors it, Allah will dishonor. Muslims today are not putting on turbans anymore. They say "modernity"; the best for them is to put the turban away, because they are with Shaytan. That is the best for Shaytan, as he is taking them from Islam. Who dishonors it Allah will dishonor, and who honors it Allah will honor.
O Muslims, don't listen to what they say to you! This is not civilization and this is not modernity. Okay, you can say "civilized in technology developments" but not in morals and religion. So when Allah (swt) brought the Prophet (s) to qaaba qawsayni aw adna, two bows-length from the Throne, he looked into the hearts of His Creation and found the hearts of the Sahaba were the best, and He selected them and gave them to Prophet (s) as his Companions. wa ja`alahum wuzaraa nabiyihi - and He (Allah) made them ministers to His Prophet (s) and Prophet's supporters. yuqaatiloon `ala deenihi, "...they struggled to bring up Islam." Today, they are now doing terrorist actions and bringing Islam down! Those who do suicide bombings are doing for revenge, and according to the majority of Muslims, suicide bombing is not correct!
Sayyidina `ibn Masud (r) is giving very important information, that whatever is seen as correct by the majority of Muslims is good in Allah's vision, and whatever they see as not good, to Allah it is not good. So you have to follow the majority of Muslims, not the minority. Ahl as-Sunnah wa 'l-Jama`ah around the world are the majority, and they love the Prophet (s) and celebrate the Prophet's birthday! And those who do not celebrate the Prophet's (s) birthday are in a minority! Allah does not like minorities in religion. yadullahi ma` al-Jama`ah, "Allah's hand is with the gathering."
