Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani
12 December 2009 Lefke, Cyprus
(Mawlana Shaykh stands.)
Dastoor ya Sayyidee. Stand up for your Lord, for our Creator, Allah almighty, Most Beneficent and Most Magnificent. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaaha illa-Llah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi 'l-hamd!
O our Lord, forgive us! O our Lord, we are asking for Your blessings! O our Lord, don't leave us with our dirty egos. Give Your heavenly support for Your weak servants! We are asking humbly all raising and whole glory for Your most honored one through Your Divinely Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Raghman `ala anfun - Against those Shaytan people that they are not giving their high respect to You! You are respecting Sayyidina Muhammad (s) but so many no-mind people, no-honor people, and followers of Shaytan don’t like that we are giving our high respect. And we are saying first of all, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem, bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, and the first lesson is that Man must learn to say this.
(Mawlana Shaykh sits.)
O our Lord, shelter us from evil and devils, and making people unhappy. People asking to be happy here and Hereafter, but they are not asking how they should reach to that pleasure and enjoyment and Divinely Presence, and they are not asking how heavenly grants will reach to them. O our Grandshaykh (q), the master of this world, in spite of Shaytans and their followers, (taught us to say) a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. That is heavenly sword that we must use! It is not only for show: Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem is a real sword! Heavenly sword is not for show, but you must use it against your enemies. إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا - Inna Shaytaana lakum `adoowun fatakhidhu `adoowa - Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. (35:6)
O `ulamas from Arab brothers, think on it, think on it, what Allah Almighty saying your language is Arabs and you may understand more and more but you are sleeping not asking what does it mean. O, I am entering Haramayn Sharifayn in Makkatu 'l-Mukarramah and in Madinatu 'l-Munawwarah. Yaa rabbee zidhuma, give more honor and more lights, more noor! Those two masjids that one of them the first one put on Earth to be prayer place. إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِّلْعَالَمِينَ - inna awwala baytin wudi`a lin-naasi lalladhee bi-bakkata mubaarakan wa hudan lil-`alameen - The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakkah: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings..(3:96)
Listen and look to me and you may understand that I am blaming first those people from Arab Muslims who are claiming they are `ulamas, learned ones, that no one (else) can understand. I am asking, "What you are understanding, awwalu yawm (first day)? You are `AbdAllah, Subhanaallah for `AbdAllah, Allah Almighty putting a symbol, symbolising what? What is Allah Almighty symbolising with Baytullah? Baytullah is something that you must understand, because you have been ordered to go and pray there. First man, Adam; do yo think Allah Almighty has only one Adam and only one Baytullah? What do you think, O our `ulamas; what you are understanding? inna awwala baytin wudi`a lin-naasi lalladhee bi-bakkata mubaarakan wa hudan lil-`alameen. Where is that praying area honored for being place of worshipping the Lord of Creation? O Salafi `ulama, do you think that Allah (swt) has only one bayt, awwala baytin? Just it is for honoring that holy place, from pre-Eternal up to Eternal.
How many Abraham? وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ - "wa minhum man lam naqsus `alayka - and some whose story We have not related to thee."(40:78) Are you understanding Qur'ani 'l-Kareem O Salafi `ulama, are you understanding what our Lord Almighty Allah is saying about prophets? What is that? The Lord is saying that I have just sent anbiya, prophets. Some of them I am saying their names clearly and I am showing some of their lives clearly, but some others I am keeping. I am not saying their names or I am not saying what their missions were. I am not saying where they have been sent, I am not saying when the beginning of prophets was. And I am also saying that I am not speaking about their lives or their nations. Because that is a sign that when Allah Almighty says,"wa minhum man lam naqsus `alayka." I am not giving knowledge about their names for their ummah, their nations, for their worlds, where they have been said or what they did. That is closed. That means countless, because from pre-Eternal up to Eternal, (the amount/existence of ) anbiya's is never stopping. Coming, coming, running.
Awwala Baytin, (First House) which one? Before Awwala Baytin was there no place for praying? From where was that holy house, house of Lord, brought and put on that place? Who knows? Where was it before? Do you think that it is only a simple building or are you trying to understand about that holy One? When Allah Almighty is in existence He is Azaliyyun, no beginning and no ending. Do you think that He was also Rabbun y`ubad at that time? Before Sayyidina Ibrahim (a) placed that house on Makkah Mukarramah, wasn't there any bayt before for Allah (swt)? It is just put for His servants to pray and ta`abud, worship? What was before? Nothing?
Yes, O People, O `ulamas, if you are going to learn something, Allah Almighty is saying فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا - F 'as'al bihi khabeera - ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things). (25:59) If you can't reach haqeeqatu 'l-amr, reality of that one, you must ask someone who knows about that khabeer. Khabeer is mubaalagha - exaggerate. That means "no one is knowing." Who is not knowing, must ask such a person. Because someone may know. So many countless wisdoms and knowledges and news has just happened or should happen on the level of Creation.
F 'as'al bihi khabeera, don't ask those people whom are so proud and saying "We are doctors." What are you knowing? Do you think that you ask something from such a person who knows? Who knows what you are asking, first beginning or ending. You must ask must be one person khabeer, expert how many experts? only one expert? how you are asking O `ulamas, that you are asking we are Salafi `ulama, you know nothing cause you are not asking a khabeer, expert, to tell you some secret knowledge. There is no secret knowledge? All knowledge is open?
O Salafi `ulamas, what do yo think about Sayyidina Musa (a)? That addressing was also coming to him, because Sayyidina Musa (a) for everything he was thinking on it. But he was unable to finding treasures, and not finding the key to open. Therefore Allah Almighty sending him or all prophets. Allah Almighty is saying F 'as'al bihi khabeera, you must ask who is knowing what you are not knowing. And Sayyidina Musa (a) ran to find that person who has secrets about so many things. Countless knowledge oceans, the key was with him. Who was that? Sayyidina Khidr (a), he was khabir, Sayyidina Musa (a) was not khabir. Therefore Allah Almighty saying F 'as'al bihi khabeera.
Sahaba `alayhimu 'r-ridwaan were asking for Sayyidina Rasulullah (s). Anbiya were asking to whom? Who is the teacher of prophets? Sayyidina Muhammad (s) (Mawlana stands) teacher for everything in existence. He is that khabeer who knows that only Allah (swt) knows. But he is not knowing whole what Allah Almighty knowing (Mawlana sits). He was only knowing some knowledge granted to him for a handful of people or a handful of worlds or a handful hegemony. Oceans. Dominions endless endlessly if you need something through life, you must ask who knows F 'as'al bihi khabeera, you just understand
شَهِدَ اللّهُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ الْعِلْمِ قَآئِمَاً بِالْقِسْطِ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ - Shahida Allahu annahu laa ilaaha illa huwa wa 'l-malaa'ikatu wa ooloo al-`ilmi qaa'imaan bil-qisti laa ilaaha illa huwa al-`azeezu ‘l-hakeem - There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise. (3:18)
That they are all khabeer, knowing, knowing what no one knows. Why are you getting so much proud. Because you are asking "We are graduated from Makkah Mukarramah's university, Jaami`atu Islaamiyya fi 'l-Hijaaz" Those people who are teaching the students, are they knowing everything? Why are they stopping for asking utlubu 'l-`ilm? Don't say "We gradated, no more to learn for ourselves." That is your ignorance. You must learn that. A weak one going to teach you, a weak one that his Arabic is nothing, by holy command from heavens, F 'as'al bihi khabeera. You must understand. I am asking, awwala baytin wudi`a lin-naasi lalladhee bibakkata mubaarakan. Bakkata or Makkata? What is between Bakkata and Makkata? F 'as'al bihi khabeera.
For understanding we are going to libraries and looking after that. What does it mean? No, ilm a living grant from Allah Almighty to His servants. The Seal of Prophets (s) wasn't reading books and learning. But it is something, a heavenly grant that is granted to someones as our Lord is asking to grant. A little bit down, down to understand something.
Once Fakhruddin Razi (r), they know `ulama, one mashhoor (famous) commentator he was visiting Awwala Baytin that awwala baytin wudi`a lin-naasi and people running to him to hear and to take some benefit or to reach some lights from his knowledge. Because knowledge is not a material thing, it is a heavenly grant and a heavenly grant is noor - light, lightening. People were running to know and understand something about unknown oceans of knowledge. To understans something. He was sitting and people, o all of them giving him their high respect. Imam Razi (r) coming and speaking on front of Kaa'ba Awwala Baytin and we must run to him to take some light from his knowledge. They were looking at a khabeer who knows so many things that people are not knowing.
And he was sitting kursee on throne or on chair. All people were standing up to honor and for his respect. Only one person was sitting there, covering his head, sitting, never moving. And Fakhruddin Razi (r), Allah (swt) bless him, was looking around and everyone was standing up, and only that one in front of Ka`aba never changed his face or never stood up. He was saying, “Who is that one like me, a person coming here and not giving his respect? At least (he should have) respect for my knowledge.” This passing was going through his heart.
After he was left that one. I must leave him, I must address to our listeners. He tried to speak but was not able to say anything. Like me, beginning to cough. I am really coughing but he was saying, people were looking, "O People, I can't address to you, something happening here now that I am not able to address to you." And he was showing that person who is that one. "Because of that one my heart is just locked and my tongue can't be able to say anything." He ran to that one and asking, "O our master, did I do something wrong? Please forgive me, I don't know what I am going to say to people, I knew so many things but now my tongue is just locked. I can't speak, please forgive me!" And he was kissing his hands saying. "O this is Baytullah for the honor for that Baytullah forgive me," and he was saying "O People, that one who looking from east to west, from north to south through oceans and continents, he is sitting here but looking from east to west, north to south and through oceans and continents. I am asking in front of you forgiveness." And he is saying, "Go and speak, enough for you what you said now, we are opening."
Khabeer was Sayyidina Muhyiuddin ibn Arabi (q), not Fakhruddin Razi (q), knew nothing front of that one. He was an ocean, Fakhruddin was a drop. A drop how swimming in it? That was ocean, oceans asking madad, support, asking some grants through heavens from that one. "How can I speak to you?" Now he opened I may speak to you.
O People, O `ulama that you are asking we are Salafi `ulama or Wahabi `ulama. They are bringing to me to speak to you khaasah, special addressing to Arab `ulama; who they are thinking they are becoming something and they are nothing till asking from that khabeer.
O People you must try to learn something. This planet is like a atom through bigness, greatness of existence of Divinely Dominion. Through Divine Dominions our world, this planet, it is such a atom or less. Ask more! Ask more, F 'as'al bihi khabeera, وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا - "wa-qul rabbee zidnee `ilma - and say (O Muhammad!), O my Lord increase me in knowledge." (20:114) - Khitaab, addressing Allah Almighty to His most beloved one and saying "Ask more knowledge!" That endless knowledge oceans, wisdom oceans, oceans and oceans, belongs to Me. Ask Me, wa-qul rabbee zidnee `ilma, ayatun kareemah?
Yes, why not asking? Why are saying that this one who putting turban on head and never knowing from `ilm..... No I know fa`il (subject) and maf`ool (object) also and f`il (verb) also I know. If you are getting to be proud with your ... . I know also what is f`il what is fa`il and what is maf`ool. You are understanding. Shaytan makes me you. Try to learn and keep your adab, don't say "This one." No, all of us on same level created as the children of Adam (a). Don't say that we are carrying this and thinking that you are going to be something. Some important thing. No, no, if you are asking to be important one, you will never be important one. You are always going to be on the level of ignorance. Try to learn and endless oceans of knowledge just put in an atom. May put, because هُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ - "Huwa `ala kulli shayin qadeer - He has power to do all things." (67:1)
O my Lord, forgive us, forgive us! Forgive Your servants and send us who may teach us and help us for understanding heavenly secrets, for understanding secrets of creating, for understanding the secretes granted from the Lord of Heavens to His creatures and particulary what mankind just granted from knowledge. He is giving to them, try to make it more such a knowledge, you are not going to forget such knowledge. Other knowledge that you are learning from this from that, you are going to forget. Real knowledge can't leave you, but artificial understanding and knowledge should leave you and you become a naked tree, nothing on it, no flowers, leaves or fruits.
May Allah (swt) forgive me and you!
