Follow the Ways of Prophets and Be Safe
Sultan al-Awliya
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani
1 October 2010    Lefke, Cyprus

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh stands)
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah `Azeez Allah

Subhaan Allah, Sultaan Allah. Subhaan Allah, Sultan Allah.
As-salaamu `alaykum yaa ayyuha 'l-mu`minoon.

O Believers! As-salaamu `alaykum!
Isma`u wa`izhan! Listen! Every word may give to you heavenly support and in our days Man is most in need of heavenly support.
Say, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem! That is our sword. It is not a plastic sword, it is a heavenly sword! If one wali were to use it, it will be strong throughout east to west and no one may raise up their head. Believe in Islam! Believe in our Lord, Almighty Allah! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahi 'l-hamd. Alfu salaam `alaa Sayyid 'l-awwaleen wa 'l-akhireen, Sayyidina Muhammad `AbdAllah. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Allah, Allah.

O People! We are sitting here trying to be like all of prophets' listeners. All prophets were calling people, "Come and listen! Come and hear! Always obey your Creator." They did not say anything except what had been ordered to all prophets. In Arabic words we are going to say something for all of our attenders now, throughout east and west, particularly for Arabs who are saying, "Nahnu `Arab." Leave saying that you are Arab or Kurds: all of them are wrong! It is much better to say, "We are servants of our Lord!" Don't say you are Italian, English, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Iranian, Syrian, or Egyptian; leave that!
The most honored title that we have been granted is, "Servant of our Lord." Say, "I am a weak servant."

Who is a real servant? Real servants are those ones who refuse to be servants of their egos. When you claim, "I am a servant," that may be accepted. If your ego is riding on you and you say, "I am a servant," how can it be? Then you are a donkey of your ego, and even a donkey is not accepting you! Say, "I am a servant of Allah!"
(Mawlana Shaykh stands) Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, laa ilaaha illa-Llahu wa-Llahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa li-Llah `l-hamd! (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Take new refreshment! When you are saying takbeer, refreshment is coming to you, illnesses leave you, viruses run away from you, to those people who are not saying, "We are servants," and they are trembling.

O our Attenders! I am an attender. What is coming to me, I must say. I am not a lecturer, writing and then speaking or reading what I wrote. What is necessary comes to me, because prophets were speaking on the lowest level to make people understand. If you can't make people understand something from you, you are a useless one
in too-high positions and common people on Earth are asking for someone to sit and advise them, to be with them on Earth, sitting on rocks, on trees, anywhere! They are not asking for chairs (of chairmen). I am not asking for a chair and no one even gives five pennies to come to me, but this chair is to make me a little bit restful. Therefore, I am sitting here, but if anyone is asking, "Come down Shaykh," we may come down and sit. Prophets came down to their people, and we may give an example. A helicopter may land everywhere but for a Concord it is impossible to land just anywhere.

Now our learned or religious people are sitting on very heavily ornamented chairs. No, it is the wrong way! How was Sayyidina `Isa, Jesus Christ, with people? Was he sitting on golden chairs or putting on his head a golden ornament, a crown? No! Why are they leaving the way of Jesus Christ? And I don't know how the Children of Israel are dressing in those round black hats.
I am asking the chief rabbi, who is bringing that? Did Sayyidina Musa, Moses, peace be upon, dress as you are dressing? What is that? (Mawlana Shaykh laughs) Don't be angry! Is it better to say, "What shall we do, it is our custom."  Custom is one thing, religious orders and the religious appearance of prophets is something else! Christians and Jewish chief rabbis must change their dress!

O our Salafi `ulamas! You must also change your dress because the Seal of Prophets (s) wasn't dressing as you are now. Mercy will rain on anyone using the Prophet's model! They are never going to get headaches, which are always for people who are not keeping the model of prophets. Like this, (head uncovered), how am I looking, good? This (my head) should only be uncovered on the Day of Arafat. This is a middle-sized model (head covered with a kufi), but this amama, turban, is a crown!!! Why are you not putting crowns on your head? Why are you following your dirty egos' orders?

O Salafi `ulamas! What is Allah Almighty saying? Are you not knowing? (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Asta'eedhu billah.

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
Wa lakum fee Rasoolullahi uswatan hasana.
There is for you in the Prophet of Allah an excellent example.
(33:21)

(Mawlana Shaykh sits) The best model for Mankind in eating, drinking, sitting, dressing, and action is Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! You can take him as the best model for a happy, sweet life that you may find if you are following him! But people are not taking any care and cursing is coming on their heads. To avoid the problems coming now on so many people, follow that best model! If you like a happy, sweet life, follow the steps of the Seal of Prophets (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits) If not, there is no value and cursing will come on their heads, on their families, and on their works. Now everywhere, east to west, north to south, there is no heavenly mercy, only cursing reaches so many nations that have refused their prophets' advice and their models of service, "Follow prophets," and now follow the Seal of Prophets (s). If not, everything will lose no more happiness, with no more pleasure or sweet life for nations; finished, it will be locked down.

Are you understanding or not? I am trying to understand. That is the biggest problem for Man's life troubles in our days. The troublemakers are agents of Shaytan, the biggest troublemaker! All Mankind must know that Shaytan is the most terrible troublemaker. Therefore, some people are eating and others are starving, everywhere is killing, burning, everyone is full of troubles. No place is in peace, and I am sorry to say that Muslim territories are also full of Shaytan's agents and their main target that Shaytan is teaching its agents in Islam's Muslim territories (...) (Aside to someone in audience) Leave this paper and look at me, it is not important! When you are going like this, then the heavenly connection is cut off, and they are looking at a kinderbook! Tawbah, astaghfirullah 'l-`Azheem. Shaytan never stops, he has thousands and thousands of tricks, trips and traps.

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, `Azeez Allah,
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Kareem Allah.

Why are Turks eating Turks? Why are Kurdish people eating each other? Why are Iranians doing this? Why are Baghdad people doing this? Why is Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Islamic territories, the Europeans--and now I am hearing South American people--eating each other? What are they asking? They are not learning from whom they may ask, because they are on the zero point of belief and they do not believe in Islam, Christianity, or Judaism! No beliefs for them, as they are accepting Shaytan, and Shaytan is raining curses on them!

May Allah forgive us, for the honor of the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits).

Fatihah.

Wake Up to the Responsibility of Your Divine Servanthood!

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

22 September 2010    Lefke, Cyprus

(Mawlana Shaykh stands) laa ilaaha illa-Llah,, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadur Rasoolullah `alayhi salaatullah, `alayhi salaamullah, wa `ala saairi 'l-anbiyaa wa 'l-mursaleen, wa aalin kulli ajma`een, wa `anni 't-tabi'eena lahum, wa salaamu `alaykum yaa `ibaadAllahi 's-saaliheen. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)

Dastoor. Thumma as-salaamu `alayk yaa Saahib az-Zamaan, thumma as-salaamu `alayk yaa Qutb al-Zamaan, thumma as-salaamu `alayk yaa Qutb al-Mutassarrif, thumma as-salaamu `alaykum yaa as-haab al-nawbah min ahli 's-samawaati wa 'l-araadeen. Allahumma rawid `abdik fee ridaak. yaa Rabbee.

The holy command of The Lord of Heavens is, “Leave Shaytan and come to Me!” And we are saying,  a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani ‘r-rajeem. That means we are leaving Shaytan and saying, "O our Lord! Keep Shaytan away." And we are saying (Mawlana Shaykh stands), Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits).

O our Attenders! Welcome to you! If you are attending you are gaining, and if you are not attending you are losing. Whoever wants to reach heavenly treasures, come and ask! If you are not interested in heavenly treasures, it may be that you are going to die and become fertilizer. Not just one, but there must be billions who must hear, must listen, and must obey! If you are saying you are servants, then you must hear the heavenly news, and you must listen and try to take a share from that heavenly address. Come and obey! We must obey and we must try to be obedient servants. You can't find any better honor for yourself than to be an obedient servant. When the Lord of Heavens is happy with you, He is dressing that honored dressing upon you. Expensive dresses are for dunya people, whose aim is only dunya. When you pass away they take these dresses, put a white cloth and say, "Enough, more than enough!"

O our Attenders! Are you understanding? If you are not understanding, something from heavenly warnings may reach you. You may wake up with pains in your stomach, your head, in your lower or upper sides, if you are not understanding. They are coming to you, and you wake up and shout, "Where are the tablets to stop this pain?" Useless! If there is no order from heavenly ones to give you a benefit, then even if you are taking a handful of tablets it is impossible to stop that pain!

O People! Use your minds. They are not making me to sit here to make a theater (performance) for you, no! We are sitting here for understanding, and to follow what we are understanding. So many times they are making such a weak servant to wake you up. Wake up!

O Salafi `ulamas! You are giving yourselves a special title that is not true. You must try to wake people up; that is your mission, nothing else! This is a holy order from the Lord of Heavens, "O My prophets! Make My servants wake up. Give them such advice that they will wake up before pains come to them, waking them!" There are two kinds of waking up. One kind of waking up is for your heavenly servanthood and the second kind of waking up comes to people when they are waking up with heavy pains, with such bad conditions for themselves or their families, their children, and they are not going to taste any good taste. When they are sleeping, they are awakened, as some reason is giving trouble to you.

O People, try to wake up for your servanthood; nothing is more important, without exception! If you do what is obligatory for you, then you may put your head down to sleep, and the angels will say, "Sleep well." Angels are waiting for you, keeping Shaytan away from touching you. they say, "Sleep happily, sleep with enjoyment, sleep with pleasure." Up to the time of heavenly service, to midnight and after it, leaving you to sleep so smoothly, as small babies are sleeping, but only if you hear and obey!

O Salafi `ulamas! Teach people how they must sleep. They answer, "We are `ulamas, so important! W do not occupy ourselves with how Mankind sleeps!" How? (Mawlana Shaykh stands) The Seal of Prophets (s) said, Ad-deenu naseeha, "Religion is advice." (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Naseeha, advice, is for the benefit of Mankind. O Salafi `ulamas! You must say how they should sleep: silently, happily, and in satisfaction? Why are you not saying? "No, we are saying ahadeeth ash-shareefah, so many of them coming from books, one after the other. But we are not doing this everyday." No! Wa dhakkir, and remind them! This means you must at every moment try to wake servants up, to keep them from falling into wells of troubles.

O People! As-salaamu 'alaykum. Don't be angry; what is being said is first for me and then for you! Say, Salafi `ulamas, how was the life of the Seal of Prophets (s) and what is Allah Almighty saying? (Mawlana Shaykh stands)

laqad kaana lakum fee rasoolullahi uswatun hasanatun liman kaana yarjoo allaha wa 'l-yawma 'l-'akhira wa dhakara allaha katheera.

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example, for who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often. (al-Ahzab, 33:21)

(Mawlana Shaykh sits) Is that an ayatu 'l-kareemah, a holy verse or not? Why aren't you calling people to follow Rasoolullah (s), making him a best symbol for the life of people? Why was Allah Almighty saying this, wa lakum fee rasoolullahi uswatun hasanat? Who are those for whom the Lord of  Heavens was saying, lakum, “for you”? O People, "for you!" As long as Mankind is living on this planet, they should be addressed through that holy verse, as that gives a model for all Mankind. Don't say, "We are high life people who follow western models and 21st century fashions for everything." Leave that and follow this!

O Salafi `ulamas! Why are you not saying to your mulook, who are giving money to you? Why are you not waking them up? Where was the Seal of Prophets (s) living? What was he sleeping on? He was sleeping on a hasir, straw mat, taking such a peaceful, enjoyful sleep. You are sleeping on first-class fashion beds with beautiful ladies, but you can't reach what the Seal of Prophets (s) reached. Why is Allah Almighty saying, wa lakum fee rasoolullahi uswatun hasanat? To what does this apply? Say, for everything! You must follow him, you must use him as the model for your lives! When you say, "The life of the Seal of Prophets (s) is the model and we are following him," then you may reach satisfaction; nothing will touch you or give you trouble! Then we may sleep with full pleasement, in peace. Angels will say to you, "As-salaamu `alaykum, O followers of the Seal of Prophets (s)! Peace be upon you and sleep well, and wake up with full satisfaction and full pleasure." Your physical body will take its rights and become so happy, and will make sajdah for Allah Almighty and say, "Allahu Akbar!"

That is Allah's grant to us. Why are you not following? Ad-deenu naseeha, religion is good advice! Why are you not giving that advice to Muslims? This holy verse is enough for you to be in pleasure for your entire life, in honor and peace! Why are you not teaching this to people? Allah Almighty is going to ask `ulamas, Hal balaghat, "Did you convey the message?" The Lord of Heavens will ask of anbiyaa, prophets. Allah Almighty will say to Sayyidina 'Isa (a), (Mawlana Shaykh stands)

wa 'idh qaala allaahu yaa `eesá 'bna maryama a'anta qulta li '-naasi attakhidhoonee wa ummiya ilahayni min doonillahi qaala subĥaanaka maa yakoonu lee an aqoola maa laysa lee biĥaqqin in kuntu qultuhu faqad `alimtahu ta`lamu maa fee nafsee wa laa a`lamu maa fee nafsika innaka anta `allaamu al-ghuyoob.

And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection), "O 'Isa, son of Maryam! Did you say to men, 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?'" He will say,"Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right. Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner self, though I do not know what is in Yours! Truly only You are the Knower of all that is Hidden and Unseen. (Al-Ma'idah 5:116)

A'anta qulta li 'n-naasi attakhidhoonee wa ummiya ilahayni min doonillah, "Did you say to people to take yourself and your mother as gods other than Allah?" (Mawlana Shaykh sits) 'a'anta qulta, from the weight of `azhamat, the glory of this address, Jesus Christ (a) is going to disappear, (Mawlana Shaykh bows his head) and say, "O my Lord! You know what I said to them!" If the anbiyaa are going to be asked in such a way, then what about you, who say, "We are Salafi `ulamas." Angels are asking why are you not waking the servants of Allah Almighty for His heavenly servanthood? Allah Almighty will ask, "Why are you not teaching how they should live, and which one should be a model for the life of Mankind? Why are you not making it clear?"

I am asking the al-Azhar `ulamas also. Some of them are such no-mind people, there is a fitnah, corruption, in Farengistan, France. It is Shaytan's place, where they are making a qanoon, law, that a Muslim woman must not cover her face. What is that? And some al-Azhar `ulamas are saying that is correct! How are they going to answer on the Day of Resurrection, saying that law and order of the French government is true! How are they saying that this shaytanic fatwah is true? (...) Therefore, that one who claims he is a big `alim is making a big mistake and he is jaahil, ignorant. Allah Almighty will punish him, as He is closing the baab al-fitnah, the door of corruption. Shame on who is supporting the French government; they are not Muslim people. Non-Muslim people may not put their law against Muslim law. I am sorry to say that, because I am very angry. If he does not apologize, heavenly law will throw a heavenly lightning on his head and he will not live longer. May Allah forgive us.

O People! No one can change Shari`atullah, holy laws and orders of Allah Almighty! Yaa Rabb, O our Lord, forgive us! Send us one who can teach real Islam to Your servants. Where are you (what is your position), Salafi `ulamas, and why are you not refusing and objecting on what that ‘alim, that doctor is saying? If you are not refusing his fatwah, then you are going to be shareeki-jurum, partners in this crime, and you will share the penalty for it.

Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah astaghfirullah. Allah, Allah! Forgive us, yaa Rabbee! Send us someone to correct everything. The people who have destroyed your Shari`ah may be taken away, and those who keep the Shari`atullah may come for the honor of the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammed (s)!(Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits)

Fatihah.

True Knowledge Defies the Imagination

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

24 September 2010      Lefke, Cyprus

(Mawlana Shaykh stands) As-salaam `alaykum. Salaamullahi `alaykum. Alfu salaat, alfu salaam `ala Sayyidi 'l-awwaleen wa ’l-akhireen, Sayyidina Muhammad (s) wa `ala aalihi wa saabihi ajma`een. A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)

O our Attenders! O Servants of the Lord of Heavens! Huuuuu. As-salaamu `alaykum. That is giving you honor. Always ask for honor, but ask for the honor of Heavens. Don't run after the honor of this imitated life; it is not a real life, which is in Paradise. There will be good days for believers and best honors, but those who are not asking for the real life and its honors are going to be without a chance, here or Hereafter.

Be thankful Allah Almighty is granting us to come to Jumu`ah prayers, to make dhikr, and to sit down to listen to something that may bring heavenly honor for all of us! From our birth day, we are getting older, older, older, and when what is written for us to be and to have in this life is finished, our lives end and we must go.

O our Attenders throughout east and west! You may listen to this or not, but who listens and respects what they hear, and who asks to follow holy orders of the Lord of Heavens, our Creator, Allah Almighty is creating from pre-Eternal up to Eternal! He is not only creating one dunya, but countless worlds that you cannot calculate. Once the Seal of Prophets (s) said, "Archangel Gabriel brought me to the most honored ones' place and I like to be included in that group.” No one can be over the honor of the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits) And there was a parrot with Archangel Gabriel (a), saying, "Look, that is junood Allah, armies of the Lord of Heavens, that may be possible for you to see, but they are so vast that you can't reach their beginning or end!" They passed like lightening on heavenly horses through armed armies of the Lord of Heavens, reciting Huuu, Huuu, Huuu, and saluting the Seal of Prophets, giving salaam to them.

The Seal of Prophets (s) asked, "Who are they?"

Archangel Gabriel said, "That is a division from the armies of the Lord of Heavens, and I am looking to them from the beginning of my creation up to today, seeing them are passing, passing, passing, but I never saw where they begin or where they end!” And that is Allah Almighty’s holy verse:

  وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ

Wa ma ya`lamu junooda Rabbika `illa Huwa.

And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. (74:31)

All this is from the heavenly armies of the Lord of Heavens; no one knows their beginning or end, or their numbers. Creation is never stopping from pre-Eternal up to Eternal, and now we are in it also. But we are heedless people, never listening, never hearing or obeying the holy orders of the Lord of Heavens! If we are obedient servants for the Lord of Heavens, for our Creator, we will be granted some unique grants that no one knew before and that no one will understand after that.

O People! Don't look at other people on this planet! This dunya is an imitated, limited life that makes people drunk! Very few people are awakened and not drunk; they may understand something, but drunk ones are never understanding and lose their chance after this life to reach Eternal Life. Come and accept the heavenly invitation that you will be forever in Heavenly Lights in the Divinely Presence; come and accept! But Shaytan is making people drunk, then they do not understand and run away, not accepting any advice! They are following what Shaytan teaches and that has no reality. That is the cause of troubles throughout east and west, that people have lost the understanding of the purpose of their creation and what is going to be for them at the end of their lives.

Some holy ones said, "O People! You ask for more knowledge, but it is not real knowledge that teaches you about yourself. You must ask, 'Who am I?' Leave other knowledge, but do you know yourself? Who are you? Learn who you are and then ask for more." That is the foundation. Without knowing yourself, why run to learn something else? You don't know your true identity. You know, for example, "I am `Ali, the son of `Umar," but is there anything deeper to your identity? And if you don't know about yourself, why run to see something in space, the planets, the galaxies, what is the benefit? Your personality is closed. Ask, who may teach us? From who can we know about ourselves? SubhaanAllahi 'l-`Aliyyu 'l-`Adheem! When people begin to seek real knowledge about themselves, their identity will become clear to them. True identity registration is in Heavens and no one sees that registration except angels, prophets, and the Seal of Prophets (s), who may reveal to you about yourself! You may learn real knowledge about yourself through heavenly ones, and no one from human beings has that knowledge of you as they are blind to heavenly knowledge, not knowing or seeing; they only see space. Space is such a small world and knowledge and you can't even reach it. If you are asking for real knowledge about your identity you must see what is written on the Lawh al-Mahfouz, the Preserved Tablet, then you will understand who you are, as your true identity is written there. Don’t look at what is written for you in this life!

All prophets came to teach people about their identities, missions, and works, but now people are fully heedless, not interested in knowledge that belongs to heavenly books. They are leaving that and following shaytanic, useless ideas, imagining about themselves and the world around them, living entirely in an imagination world!

Wa maa lahum bihi min `ilmin in yattabi`oona illa azh-zhanna wa inna azh-zhanna laa yughnee min al-Haqqi shayya.

But they have no knowledge therein. They follow nothing but conjecture, and conjecture avails nothing against Truth. (53:28)

Imagination is never giving you anything. Look beyond imagination to true knowledge, which is beyond your imagination! So many people speak from their imaginations, but it is only baatil, falsehood. May Allah forgive us! All of us must ask for our real identity and we must know true knowledge, learn it and act on it. From east to west people are running after an imagining life and laa yughnee min al-Haqqi shayya, "Conjecture avails nothing against Truth." That imagination is never giving people anything genuine; like fertilizer, it has no value. Billions of people are wasting their lives for nothing, and they are leaving the real opening to realities and asking from untrue teachings, learning wrong things and making endless mistakes with their ideas, because imagination will never bring you any real knowledge about yourself, about space, or Creation.

Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. We are asking for Your forgiveness, because most people are running to learn something useless, wasting their lives and understandings. May Allah forgive us. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, astaghfirullah.

Fatihah.

Be Sweet!
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

24 September 2010 Private Home, New Jersey
Suhbah after Salaat al-Maghrib

Doctor: I'll try to raise my voice.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham: Think of being in a demonstration against the government!

Doctor: We were in Hawaii but there is no mosque and no group of Muslims. There is hardly a place to gather to say prayers, to thank Allah for creating a beautiful place like Hawaii. Every place is beautiful but we have to put it in our hearts about the Creator Who put that beauty and that Allah is the only One we can raise our hands to say shukr and hamd. It is an honor and pride be born Muslims and to follow teachings of the Qur'an as much as our capacity is, and to be able to propagate our message, especially in places where there is blend and mix of other religions. It leaves you totally confused, there is no focus, and no center of thought process.

Like now, we think of Allah when we are talking to each other, but in remote areas of the civilization there is a lack of faith, no center, and no concentration. That is what we found in Hawaii, and we ask and pray to Allah to establish a mosque there to help people who are totally lost and totally wandering in the dark and gone on tangents and don't have the capacity to focus on the noor of Allah, to come back to true guidance of Allah.

And I pray that in one of your prayers you will pray to Allah to establish mosque on every island of Hawaii, in each of its five islands. And I am sorry to say there is no mosque in Maui, and no mosque in Kauai. The only mosque is in Honolulu. If you go there it as if your soul evaporates into space, no gravity to pull it back. I ask each of you to pray that Allah will put a mosque on each of the five islands and there not be worshipers of idols and drinks and people who are just there not doing a thing, no meaning to life, and they are enjoying. I think we have to be grateful to Allah that He guided us to the right path. We will be grateful if we spend the rest of lives in prayer, seclusion and devotion to Allah.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham: Continue.

Doctor: Since Mawlana has said to continue, I take the opportunity
to praise Allah as "al-`Aleem al-Hakeem," the One Who gave us the capacity to follow the true teachings of the Qur'an, and I say this with special reference to the fact that knowledge is all around us and we just have to be able to observe it and to bring it into our parts; to go into the bigger majlis of prophets and angels, to be with those who have been guided and come with teachings of the Qur'an to the true noor.

And I say with confidence that with the forces that are influencing in a place that if they don't have the way to receive the Noor of Allah, what do you do with people like that? You tell them read the Qur'an and the door will open for them. And you can see the thrill in their faces but it simply doesn't last if people don't bring the Qur'an to their hearts, and don't bring the message of Allah in hearts, but they forget if they go back to the wilderness. So I press on them to focus on `ilm and part of the Lawh al-Mahfouz, Preserved Tablet, that has been revealed in the Qur'an. If we read it with full shahadah and full niyyat, the Light of the Qur'an will come into our hearts and guide us to Kawthar, which is the noor Prophet (s) has promised us when we enter Paradise. When we say shahadah, "There is no god but Allah," He will guide us to His noor, to the presence of the Prophet (s), and to the presence of this beautiful majlis gathered together here, and to be pleased in the rest of our lives!

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham:
Allahuma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammad hatta yardaa Sayyidina Muhammad!

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Kareem Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, `Azeez Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Subhaan Allah
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Sultan Allah

Allah (swt) is the Sultan! He is Independent! He is the Creator, and we are His servants! No one can say, "I am independent;" we are all dependent on Him, you cannot do anything, you are helpless!

O Human Beings! Don't think that you are something without Allah (swt). You are nothing! Can you keep your soul in your body? If you can keep your soul in your body then you are something. Since you cannot keep your soul in your body, it means you are not even existing. What you are seeing of your existence is not an existence, it is a cycle of life that is ending. Allah is the Only One that Exists, from Before and After, from pre-Eternal to post-Eternal, from No Beginning to No End! We have a beginning and an end. If you are clever and you know everything, as many people think, they now began to freeze the body of human beings in order that one day technology will come and put your soul back in your body. Tell them, don't try to do that and waste time and money.

When Allah (swt) takes back His amaanaat, that trust that He gave you to take care of, at that moment no one can say, "I am not coming!" When Allah calls you, you come running, and one call is enough! "Come, O My servant!" What do you do? Those who were good in this life, who did their best for humanity, when Allah our Lord calls them, they run! They hear the sweetness. That sweetness doesn't come except one time, but those pious people are hearing the sweetness of those angelic speeches all their lives.

Today people read the Holy Qur'an or they read any holy book; what are they reading? They are reading but they never heard the original. The original was revealed to Sayyidina Musa (as), or to Sayyidina Adam the first, or to Sayyidina Nuh or to Sayyidina `Ibrahim or to Sayyidina Musa or to Sayyidina `Isa or to Sayyidina Muhammad (s). We never heard that. What sweet voice did they hear?

Some singer sings today and they say, "Oh, what a beautiful voice," Academy Award. Today you see every teenager with something in his ears like a buffalo, as they tag a buffalo, they tag them and cows and sheep. Also, we see youngsters who have earrings. Here also, on their cheeks. Why not put it on your eyes also? Put it on your eyes, it is better. They are putting that to hear dunya, this world's voices, music. What do you think about heavenly music? Did we try to hear it?

I am surprised; I am not finding anymore CD's or DVD's of the beautiful voices of Holy Qur'an reciters. Nowadays they are all reciting through their noses. Where are these beautiful voices we used to hear when we were young? It has disappeared. In Pakistan, in India, in Bangladesh, in Turkey, in Saudi, in Egypt, and in Morocco there were beautiful voices and people were happy to hear them. They could not control themselves from the beauty of the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. For example, everyone knows about Shaykh `Abdul-Basit Abdus-Samad. Did you ever hear him in a live session, before an audience of thousands of people, and you can hear their amazement? Go and put that in your car and listen to that beauty.

One Sahaabi (r) was reciting to another in a very melodious way, and Prophet (s) passed behind him and that Sahaabi didn't see him, and Prophet was happy with that voice. He stood behind him listening, and the other Sahaabah stood up in very disciplinary way, and the Sahaabi said, "O my Prophet! You are here? W'Allahi if I knew you were here, I would have made it a more and more beautiful voice." He would have zoomed in, habartahu.

Yes, today they recite in tarteel and that is okay, but in the time of Prophet (s) they were reciting in a melodious way. From whom did they hear it? From the Prophet (s)! If he did not do it they would not do it. So Sahaabah heard the recitation of Prophet, and the tabi`een and Ahlu’l-Bayt heard the recitation of their ancestors. I am speaking physically, not spiritually. And ten after four imams, the people and scholars are hearing and hearing and that recitation is getting less and less. So what we hear now is maybe the minimum of its beauty. As you go far, the light goes down. As you go far from the time of the Prophet, that beauty/light goes down. That is why Prophet said, "The best century is mine, then the one after, then the one after," i.e. the first three centuries.

So today we are reciting in the lowest manner we can, not like the recitation of the companions in front of the Prophet (s). If that is the beauty of the Qur'an, what about what Prophet was hearing?

 وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ وَاغْضُضْ مِن صَوْتِكَ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ الْأَصْوَاتِ لَصَوْتُ الْحَمِيرِ
Waqsid fee mashyika w'aghdud min sawtika inna ankara al-aswaati la-sawtu 'l-hameer
And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass. (31:19)

May Allah not give us the voice of donkeys. So, keep the voice sweet, Muslims and non-Muslims! All of us are equal in the eyes of Allah, it depends on piety and sincerity. People are equal like the teeth of a comb. You cannot say, "I am better than him." In what? Who gave you a certificate that you are better than him? Can you give it to yourself? No1 Why are we giving ourselves a medallion, saying "This is me, read it." It is like today, they put on a badge when they go to work. We also have a spiritual badge. Angels can see that badge, and what type of person we are. If you are good, Allah is Ahkam al-Hakimeen. You cannot be good according to your own judgment. Whose judgment is better, ours or Allah's? Allah's judgment is better.

That's why we have to say, "Yaa Rabbee! Forgive us. Don't look at what we are doing, we are weak, we cannot do anything. We are doing this and we don't know if our prayers are accepted. We fast, but we don't know if our fasting is accepted or not." So, we are nothing. We don't deserve anything. We only deserve as Sayyidina `Umar (r) said, "If tomorrow is not better than today then it is better to be in the grave." If we are not perfecting ourselves, we are losers.

So no one can say, "I heard the sweetness the Prophet heard," not even one Sahaabi, unless the Prophet wants to open it to someone privately, it is in his hands. Allah gave that authority to Prophet (s) and one can ask the Prophet, "What are you doing?" He is the Seal of Messengers, the representative of humanity, khalifatullah fi 'l-ard. That khalifah, innee ja`ilun fi 'l-ardi khalifah, that is the Prophet, from beginning to end! No one other prophet can say that.
How then if We brought from each people a witness, and We brought thee as a witness against these people!
(4:41)

Allah is going to bring a witness on every nation, and Allah wants to bring that Prophet to be witness on that nation. And Allah will bring Sayyidina Muhammad (s) to be a witness on all these prophets and to make certain what all these prophets say is correct. That is what Allah gave to Prophet. Technology or no technology, it is nothing. Can we go to Mi`raj, no. Can you go for `Isra and Mi`raj? Can we keep our soul? No, we cannot, but Allah sent Sayyidina Jibreel (a) to Prophet to ask him, to have ikhtiyaar, "The choice is yours, do you want to come to Me or do you want to stay? It is up to you." Allah gave him the choice. What did Prophet say? "I prefer to go to You, yaa Rabbee." But he had the choice to stay or go and that means he had existence. That hadeeth indicates that he is the only one to have existence. "Do you wish to go or do you wish to come? If you wish you may keep your soul inside."

O Muslims! O Believers! O non-Muslims! Be sweet; that is what Allah likes!

Fabimaa rahmatin mina Allahi linta lahum wa law kunta fazhan ghaleezh al-qalbi la-anfadoo min hawlik. Fa`fuw `anhum wa astaghfir lahum wa shaawwirhum fi 'l-amr. Fa idhaa `azamta fa tawakkal `ala Allah. Inna Allaha yuhibba 'l-mutawakileen.
And by the Mercy of Allah you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults)
and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him)
.
(3:159)

Why are people running away from Islam and Muslims? This is an example Allah is giving through His Prophet. He is teaching us that, "If you were harsh and rude to people, they would run from you." Wa astaghfir lahum wa shaawwirahum fi 'l-amr. "They are simple, heedless people. You are the Seal of Messengers. I gave you the whole knowledge, `uloom al-awwaleen wa 'l-akhireen. Forgive them all. Forgive humanity." Allah is giving authority to ask forgiveness for humanity. Everyone who is living or non-living is under that khitaab that Muhammad is rahmatan lil-`alameen. "You are My khaleefah, forgive them, not only forgive them but wastaghfir lahum, make istighfaar on their behalf."

Prophet was doing istighfar not once, but kept doing istighfar. That means the Prophet is in continuous istighfaar for his ummah and shaawirhum fi 'l-amr, "After you forgive them and I accept and after you ask forgiveness on their behalf and I accept then you can consult with them, they are clean at this time. Now they can make the right decision, as they are clean. There is no Shaytan on them. Now they can give a decision."

They say today, "We are doing shura." What shura are you doing? We are already falling in the traps of Shaytan and he is playing with us happily. What kind of shura is there when we have all kinds of weakness and self-esteem, giving respect to the self, then what kind of shura will you give? No, shura must be made when your heart is very pure.

Fa idhaa `azamta fa tawakkal `ala Allah.
Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah.
(3:159)

And what is the decision? To fight Shaytan. We have to purify the ummah by asking, "Yaa Allah! Send heavenly support to Your servants to be pure, to be asking Your happiness with us!" That is what we need. Everyone can ask and raise his hands and ask on behalf of the ummah. Those pious, sincere ones, there is no difference between Arab and non-Arab except through righteousness. Anyone who is righteous his prayer is accepted. Go take a shower, make wudu and sit facing the Ka`abah and pray and ask forgiveness for the ummah. The Prophet is asking forgiveness for His ummah up to Judgment Day and beyond! The Prophet is concerned for his ummah!

When Mikaa'eel (a) and Jibra`eel (a) and Israafeel bring him from the grave on Judgment Day, he will ask them, "What about my ummah?" He is worried about his ummah. At that time he comes before Allah and makes sajdah there. Everyone is trembling there, all prophets and their nations, and in that scene Prophet goes into sajdah. That is in Bukhari's Adab al-Mufrad. There is a very strong meaning in that hadith.

Prophet (s) goes into sajdah three times and in the first sajdah the Prophet says, "Allah will open to my heart what was never opened to my heart before." Count how many du`a there are today. There are small books. There might be 200, 300, 1000, 10,000, no more, but Prophet said, "Allah will reveal to my heart what was never opened to my heart before." What language then? It might be Arabic but it might be like letters: kaf, ha, yaa, `ayn, saad, or letters we never heard before in Arabic that Allah will reveal to Prophet, so that the Arabic language is extended. It is 28 letters but the words are extended. No one knows what kind of words, what kind of verbs, what kind of nouns and pronouns because Prophet said, "Allah will open to my heart du`as that have never been opened to my heart before. And I am asking, He is sending and I am asking, and He is sending until Allah will say 'sa'l tu`ta, ask and you will be given. Raise your head!'" Will he ask for himself? No, for the ummah! That is why we have to follow the Prophet (s).

Allah said:
Qul in kuntum tuhiboon Allah fatabi`oone yuhbibukum Allah.
Say, "If you love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you." (3:31)

He will say, "Yaa Rabbee! Give my ummatee." Did we ask how he knows us? When a prophet comes, all people who are living become his nation, whether they accept or not. So when Prophet came after `Isa (a), those who were in that time are his nation. "Yaa Rabbee! My nation, I want them, give them to me." That is what he says, and Allah says, "Yaa Muhammad! I am granting one third of them. Take them with no account, bi ghayri hisaab." He says, "I am accepting yaa Rabbee," and with no question He send them to Paradise, no evaluation of what they have done and no judgment, "Go!" And he goes into sajdah another time and, "Allah opened to my heart what was never opened to my heart before even in the first sajdah, and I begin to make du`a for a period of time that was never mentioned." That hadeeth left it open, it might be one second or one moment, and there is no time at that time. So Allah responds the same, "Sa'l tu`ta, ask you will be granted. Raise your head." And He says, "Take the second third without asking or accounting." May Allah (swt) make us from them, from those who are with Prophet (s).

Waman yuti`illaha wa rasoola fa oolaa'ika ma` Lladheena ana`ma Allahu `alayhim mina 'n-nabiyyeen wa 's-siddiqeen wa 'sh-shuhaadahi 's-saaliheen wa hasoona ulaaika rafeeqah.
All who obey God and the Messenger are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of God, of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the righteous (who do good). Ah! what a beautiful fellowship!
(4:69)

And then he makes sajdah a third time and Allah will open to his heart what was never opened to before. And Allah will say, "Raise your head and ask, I will respond." And he will say, "My ummah, my ummah," and Allah gives all except one person, the worst one. Look at us today, how bad we are to each other around the world, the worst one of them, and that is the last one of ummat an-Nabi. And Allah will tell that one, the last one, "This is what you have done," showing him and saying, "But I have given that mercy to the heart of My Prophet. For sure I have oceans of mercy, I am the Creator and My Prophet is not better than Me. Go to Paradise with My mercy."

O Listeners! O Attenders! O Viewers! Sweetness is what is needed in Islam. Muslims must be sweet because their Prophet is sweet, the Holy Qur'an is sweet, Shari`ah is sweet, tariqah is sweet, haqiqah is sweet, azeemat ash-Shari`ah is sweet, and ma`rifah is sweet, so be sweet, not only by tongue but by action! When someone eats too much chili they give him sweets; without that he cannot leave the table. That gives a different taste. You cannot understand sweetness unless your tongue is sour. Now our tongues are sour with sins. So when Jibra`eel (a) took Prophet on `Isra, he offered him three drinks and he choose milk. Why? Because it is pure. So, drink pure, live pure, act pure, and be pure. There is one piece of meat, one clot; if that flesh is good the whole body is good and if it is not good the whole body will die. When the heart is not pumping blood the person dies even though his brain is working, but if someone is in a coma and his heart is working he will not die.

We have to ask doctors a question, as there are too many doctors here. How many miles per hour is the blood moving in the body, in the veins and arteries? What is that speed? That is for junior doctors. They say it is going 30-40 mph. That is what doctors told me in Malaysia. They measure the movement of the blood, especially the dialysis doctors. One of the dialysis patients told me to feel the vein on his arm and you feel the vibration of the blood going through veins at a very high speed. Imagine who is giving that to us and what kind of fuel is making that move? What kind of fuel? Diesel, kerosene, atomic reactor? What keeps it running? It comes from the womb of the mother running inside and it cannot be expressed how strong that energy is. Who is giving that?

O People! Allah is Great and Allah's mercy is great. And we are asking, "Yaa Rabbee! With Your oceans of mercy, bless us!" And we are asking, "Yaa Rabbee! We are asking, requesting humbly for the sake of Your Prophet, Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and his Sahaabah, and for the sake of Your friends:

مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا
Mina 'l-mumineena rijaalun sadaqoo maa ahadullah `alayyh fa minhum man qadaa nahbahu wa minhum man yantazhiru wa maa baddaloo tabdeela
Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. of them some have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least:
(al-Ahzaab, 33:23)

Those sincere believers, we are asking for the sake of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) to forgive us and judge us not according to our actions, but according to Your mercy and the mercy of Your Prophet!"

What is the advice we take from this lesson today? Be sweet. When you eat a chili, quickly eat sweets, dessert; that means when we commit a sin, immediately ask forgiveness! Say, "Astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah!" May Allah forgive us. Aqoolu qawlee haadha wa astaghfirullahi 'l-`azheem lee wa lakum wa li-saa'iri 'l-mustaghfireen fa yaa fawzan li 'l- mustaghfireen, astaghfirullah!

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

Our Lord is Asking, "Race To Me!"
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani
25 September 2010    Private Home, New Jersey
Suhbah/Hadrah after Salaat adh-Dhuhr

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,
nawaytu 'r-riyaadah, nawaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`ala fee haadha 'l-masjid.

Ati`ullaha wa ati`u 'r-Rasoola wa ooli 'l-amri minkum.

Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (4:59)

Nawaytu al-siyaam. Grandshaykh (q) said 40 years ago, with that niyyah, Allah opens for awliyaullah because of their "requesting" ("asking" is not as nice a word); their requesting Allah for His Mercy, supplicating Allah (swt), because human beings lost their way. For everyone Allah (swt) gave a way. fa aynamaa tuwalloo fa thamma wajhullah. Wherever you direct yourself you find your way, and there is no way to go through someone else's way. You have a way that Allah (swt) put you on, from al-`Azaal, from pre-Eternal, a point of intilaaq. When you race you have starting point, and the starting point for everyone is different; even the starting point of twins is not the same. Why? Even sextuplets come one after one, in a sequence, first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth. Like computers may launch a rocket, and it appears. No one has that starting point but you, and Allah said, fastabiqoo'l-khayraat, "Race to the best." It doesn't mean race to win a trophy for car racing or motorcycle racing, and then they get something big in their hands and (are proud) instead of praying two raka`at Salat ash-Shukr. Don't you see Mawlana pray two raka`ats shukr after his suhbat? What do they do win they win the trophy? They bring a bottle and open it and it begins to shoot rockets, and instead they should pray two raka`ats.
لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ
la'in shakarum la-azeedanakum.
If you thank Me, I increase for you.
(14:7)

And so Shaytan is bringing them something, and is that race dangerous? Ask anyone here. It is dangerous to get to your destination, and you kill (exhaust) yourself to get to your destination. Why don't you then exhaust yourself to get to the Divine Presence?

Allah said:
فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّواْ فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
Fa aynama tawalloo thamma wajhullah inn'Llaha wasi`un `aleem.
Wherever you direct yourself, Allah is waiting for you there, Allah is the Vast Knower. (2:115)

See how patient Allah (swt) is with His servant! He knows you are waiting to come.

Inn'Allaha wasi`un `Aleem.
Allah is the Vast Knower. (2:115)

وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا فَاسْتَبِقُواْ الْخَيْرَاتِ
Wa likullin wijhatun huwa muwalleehaa fastabiqoo'l-khayraat.
And each one hath a goal toward which he turneth; so strive as in a race in all virtues. (2:148)

We have to race well to Allah (swt) and compete to get to what is there for us. Everyone has his starting point and everyone has his own way to go. But you cannot go without danger, since racing has danger. And what kind of danger can believers encounter in their way? Shaytan is trying to take them to an exit, like on the highway. This is your path, but an exit takes you out. "No, I am racing to the end." "No, a little bit makhraj. Come, there is a gas station off the path. Come, eat a little bit." But if you eat, you will lose the race. That means, "Don't give up what your ego likes; say, 'I am racing. This is my way. I cannot stop to eat.'" "No, you will die from thirst or hunger," and the ego decreases what is best for you. Do you think the ego comes to tell you, "This is best for you." No, we know the ego will tell you, "I have champagne for you, vodka. Drink a little bit, no problem." May Allah (swt) forgive us! So you continue on your way and you are not going to take someone else's way. Going this way, you are going to reach your destination, but with much struggle.

It was revealed to the
Prophet (s):
Al-yawma akmaltu lakum deenukum wa atmamtoo `alaykum n`imatee wa radeetu lakum al-islaama deena.
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. (5:3)

That was in the last year of his life, after he was conquered Mecca with no bloodshed. And when that ayah came, Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and the Sahaabah (r) cried. Some scholars say after that ayah was revealed to the Prophet (s) he lived 81 days. Sayyidina Abu Bakr (r) cried because he knew that after the full moon, there is no further perfection.

Awliyaullah
don't say, "There is no struggle." There is struggle, for sure!
Tell someone, "There is a job for you, we need a laborer, and we will give you $2,000." What do you do? You leave here and say, "O! For $2,000 I will come!"

Awliyaullah say you have no excuse to leave such an association except on three principles: 1) You have an important guest who will get upset if you leave him, so you stay; 2) You are traveling, and for sure you cannot attend, and; 3) You are sick and you cannot go. If someone were to come and give you three golden coins and say, "Can you help me in some issue?" and you replied, "Even though I am sick, I can help for these coins," but then you say, "I cannot come to such an association because I am sick," then you are committing a mistake. That means even if you are sick and you refuse to go for three golden coins, then it is alright. But if you would take the three golden coins, it is better to go to the association of dhikrullah.

 وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا فَاسْتَبِقُواْ الْخَيْرَاتِ
Wa li kulli lahu wijhatu huwa muwalleehaa fastabiqoo 'l-khayraat.
For everyone there is a direction to their goal; then strive together (as in a race) towards all that is good. (al-Baqarah, 2:148)

Fastabiqoo 'l-khayraat, "Run for the best." This is not a meeting to make any business. They are stopping all their work, their holiday, and all their activities to come and listen. When Mawlana Shaykh sees people coming to listen, then he plugs in; he sees you are waiting for something and they open the plug, the electric breaker switch, and then it is flowing. It is like the Holy Ka`aba, why do people go there? Look, there are four walls in the picture, but it attracts you. That means there is Someone Who owns that. You don't own that, but Someone owns it and that One is calling you. When the call comes, you go directly.

There is in our way the teaching that when Allah (swt) sends you to
dunya, that is when He sends the soul to the womb of the mother. At that point, life begins with what happens in the womb of the mother. The child will be raised according to the character and reflections of the mother and father. If the environment is pure, the child comes with no veils on its eyes or ears. A
nd if the reflection of the mother and father is not as they like it to be, perfect, then the child comes veiled. It depends on the level. That is why when the child comes out, as awliyaa say, it cries. Why is it not laughing? Laughing will open the chest, just as crying opens the chest. Think about the One who made that person cry, that is what is important. Yes, he cries, but Who caused him to cry?
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَى وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا
Wa annahu huwa adhaka wa abqa wa annahu huwa amaata wa ahyaa.
He is the One who causes people to cry and to laugh, to live and to die! (53:43-44)

Think about that. When the child comes out and cries, he is not crying to open his chest, as they say. Who caused him to cry and not to laugh? In the time of Prophet (s), a child refused to come out of the womb of his mother. When he finally came out he was laughing, because he was not veiled, and they say he was not veiled for seven years. You are in the womb of your mother receiving heavenly manifestations. Allah is raising us up in that small area full of water, and you are breathing! There is no intubation or respirator. How can you breathe there? To dive in the ocean you use diving tanks and gear. There is no diving gear for the baby in the womb of the mother. How does he or she breathe? (Mawlana asks the doctor.) What do doctors say about this? (It is coming from the placenta.) That is full of food. Don't they block each other? Lillah fee khalqihi shu`oon, "Allah has His reasons." Allah (swt) has ways to keep them alive and give them the chance to express and experience His mercy. That is what He wants from us, to feel His mercy, to experience it and to say alhamdulillah, wa la'in shakartum la-azeedanakum, to give thanks; that is what He wants. If you say alhamdulillah and shukrulillah every time you remember, you will enter Paradise without hisaab (account), because He is the Forgiver!

That is the race to Him and there are obstacles in that race. Now they have discovered that the child is reacting to what is going on outside the womb. So if the mother and father are always in wudu, they are not arguing or fighting, and not expressing any anger between themselves even though they might disagree, and that child is in this environment until delivery day, that child comes with no veils. There are people like that. According to what Islam asks, they follow. There are people who keep that kind of discipline, but not everyone can do that. There are some men who are rude and hard, even when the wife is pregnant. At that time, according to Islam, you cannot divorce her. If you come against Allah's order, that talaaq (divorce) is not accepted. But look at that anger. One lady came to me and said, “My husband wants to divorce me," and she doesn't want the divorce because she is pregnant. She said, "I don't want to lose my imaan and faith." It is a big test. May Allah (swt) save us!

The Seal of Messengers (s) came to build us up to go on that race and find our finishing point. When Allah (swt) calls you, there is no more call after that. All your life there is a call from Allah (swt), "Come to Me, come to Me." But what are we doing? We move a little bit and then we exit, then we move a little bit and exit. We don't reach our goal because we keep coming to an exit, and they are never going to end on the highway. If you don't exit and don't listen to the whispering coming in your ear but keep going and going, you will reach that destiny before that final call comes. There, all veils will be open to you and when that call comes you will be opened and you will see everything before you!

Awliyaullah are like that. From their starting point until they reach their destiny, they never exit. Our problem is that we exit too many times to go to the toilet on the highway. Now some people have a franchise coming out. It is not a bathroom, but it is Starbucks! It’s as if Starbucks has no taste until you put sugar in it. Put sugar in water and then what is the problem? I am speaking to them. They say coffee wakes you up. Doesn’t it? So buy some coffee beans and eat them, it is cheaper. (laughter) Why do you to have to go all the way to pay four dollars for a small cup like that, when you can have a whole can of coffee and put one spoon of it in water and stir it? One Starbucks, it’s a waste of money. Shaytan says, "Go waste your money, pay it to the coffee mafia!" When you go to the exit of dunya there are all kinds of things there. Don't exit. This is an analogy, it doesn’t mean you can't exit. In real life, you exit to make wudu and go pray. But don't exit for nonsense, for a waste of time.

So we ask Allah (swt) to forgive us and to support the work of our shaykh, Sayyidee Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Haqqani (q), and to all his mureeds and followers around the world who are trying their best according to their understanding. May Allah (swt) make all of us here able to serve as much as possible, and not to be stingy people. Wa man huwa al-bakheel, "Who is the stingy person?" Prophet (s) described who is the miser. And who is that one?

إن أبخل الناس من ذكرت عنده و لم يصل علي

Al-ladhee idhaa dhukirtu `indahu wa lam yusalli `alayy.

The miser is the one who, when my name is mentioned, he doesn't say prayers on me.

Say it: Allahuma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammad! How many are here? Maybe 100. Allah (swt) will multiply each salawaat by the number of persons here and then al-hasanatu bi ashra` amthaalihaa, "the good deed is rewarded tenfold" will give you thousands of hasanaat. What about if we are in the masjid doing salawaat? We were in Indonesia, in Jebara, where we went by plane, and there were people in the soccer fields and places everywhere, making salawaat. Count. Each salawaat is going to be multiplied by 250,000 then multiply by ten and how much is that? That is what we can count! Allah is "al-Kareem." Allah (swt) is Greater than that! He will give more, so ask for mor!

 ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ

Id`oonee astajeeb lakum.

Supplicate to Me and I will give you!  (40:60)

What will He give us? “Say what you want and I will accept and respond.” Astajeeb, “I accept.” What will He give? Will He give what we ask? What we ask is like an ant asking in this universe. No, He will give according to His Greatness, but come to Him in a race, race to Him! People are racing to get a trophy and they might endanger their life. With this there is no danger of killing yourself, but there is a danger of killing the ego.

Look at these rich people who have thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars. They are killing themselves because they are stingy; they don't give. If a poor person like you or anyone here, because Allah knows about the background of all of you here, if you give one dollar, it is better than a rich one who gives one-million dollars. Since the rich one has millions of dollars, what is going to change for him if he gives one million? You give according to your level. It is like the hadith of Sayyida `Ayesha (r), when she related what happened to her one day. She told Prophet (s) when he came to the house, "A lady came knocking at the door carrying two baby girls. She asked for food and the babies were crying and hungry. That lady was so exhausted from hunger that she could not walk." She knocked at the door of Sayyida `Ayesha (r), who asked, "What do you need?" The lady replied, "I need food." Sayyida `Ayesha (r) said, "I went to the cupboard." Was there a fridge in the time of Prophet (s)? Of course, for Prophet, bardan wa salaama, it was always cool and breezy in the house of Prophet (s) in Madinatu 'l-Munawwara. She looked in the cupboard and there was nothing. How many freezers do we have? All our freezers are full and still we are all complaining.

Allahuma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammad wa `ala aalihi wa saahbihi wa zawjaatihi! She didn't say, "My husband is coming and he is the Seal of Messengers, the highest of Allah's Creation, so I will save the dates because he might be hungry!” No, she took three dates and gave one to the lady. The lady gave one to the baby and one to the other and one to herself. And as soon as she gave one to the baby and to the other baby, they put them in their mouths and swallowed them with the seeds. She took the one in her mouth, split it and gave it to both of them, preferring them to herself.

And Prophet (s) said, "This lady's action saved her from all kinds of punishment and sent her with no account to Paradise." That lady preferred the children to herself and Allah (swt) saved her from all kinds of punishment! What do you think about those who are giving for a good cause, fee sabeelillah; what will they get? For sure they will get what that lady got! And we know that lady did it one time. We know about you, that you are giving and giving and preferring others to yourself. You are giving your best to make them happy, not like those who are lazy and waiting for the rich to give to us. If you have no work, then go dig in the garden or collect stones, go to the neighbor and collect their leaves! Do work and don't be lazy. And those who are working, help them, as Allah (swt) will help you in your life, your wealth, and He will help your parents. How many children were lost, but because their parents were good, because they were working for Islam and helping, Allah (swt) saved them later? So keep your faith in Allah (swt)!

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
