Praise Prophet Continuously

Mawlid in Private Home



May Allah (swt) accept this Mawlid from all of us. It is barakah to recite Mawlid of Prophet (s) every night, not just one night and then sit. Every night people can read one or two pages; that would be nice. Because He (s) is our way, `ihdeenas Sirat-ul Mustaqeem, Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is As-Siratul Mustaqeem. Allah (swt) said in Surat al-Fatihah, Siraata 'lladheena an`amta `alayhim, “The path that you have favored people with.” That path is the path of Sayyidina Muhammad (s).

Awliyaaullah say that as-Siraata 'l-Mustaqeem is a bridge between Yawm al-Mahshar, the day of Resurrection and Paradise, you have to cross that bridge. If you fall on the right side there is punishment, and if you fall on the left side there is punishment. Whoever crosses that bridge is safe. That bridge can be thinner than a hair or as wide as the universe. Allah said in Holy Qur’an, in kuntum tuhibbunallah fattabi`oonee yuhbib kumullah, “If you really love Allah (swt),follow Sayyidina Muhammad (s); Allah will love you.” So that path is Sayyidina Muhammad (s).

Whoever is coming from the right door, Allah (swt) said in Holy Qur’an,
وَأْتُواْ الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِهَا - "w 'aatoo 'l-buyoota min abwaabihaa, - Don’t enter the home from the back door, enter from the main door.” (2:189) The main door to Paradise is Sayyidina Muhammad (s). If we are connected to Prophet (s), He (s) is pulling everyone, and He (s) wants everyone in Paradise from his ummah. He (s) doesn’t want anyone to be left behind for Iblees. If Prophet (s) doesn’t leave anyone behind for Iblees to take, what do you think of Allah (swt), The Most Generous, Arhamu 'r-Raahimeen, The Most Absolute rahmah is in His Hand! That’s why He said Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is Rahmatan li 'l-`alameen - Mercy to all the Worlds.

So if we remember what Allah (swt) said in Holy Qur’an as an order to angels and humanity,
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا - Inn 'Llaha wa malaa`ikatahu yusalloona`ala 'n-Nabi yaa ayyuhalladheen aamanoo salloo `alayhi wa sallimoo tasleema - Indeed Allah and His angels are praising and sending praises on Prophet (s), O you who believe Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect." (33:52) 

That praising is continuously, non-stop. Allah (swt) is sending favors on Prophet (s) and praising Him (s). Angels are praising Prophet (s). O Muslims! It is an order on us to make salawaat on Prophet (s). It is not an order on us to do anything else in this life! If someone will not do anything in his life, except stand in front of the presence of Prophet (s) in Madinah, in front of His (s) grave, and continuously praise Prophet (s) day and night, he will not be in need for any food or any drink. Allah will provide for him. Because Allah ordered, “O believers! Praise him, send salawaat on him continuously.” Allah didn’t mean 10 or 15 times; He said “continuously.” It is a continuous order, non-stop future order.

Sayyida Maryam (a), Virgin Mary, didn’t need anything. Sayyidina Zakariyya (a), a prophet, was surprised. How can she survive? What do you think she was praying in her niche? What was she saying? Allah said in Holy Qur’an:

كُلَّمَا
دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقاً قَالَ
يَا مَرْيَمُ أَنَّى لَكِ هَـذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ إنَّ
اللّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَاء بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

kullamaa dakhala `alayha zakariyya al-mihraaba wajada `aindaha rizqa. qaala yaa maryamu anna laki haadha qaalat huwa min `indillaahi inna Allaha yarzuqu man yashaa'u bi-ghayri hisaab.

Whenever he (Zakariyya) entered her prayer niche, he found her sustenance provided her. He
said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah. for
Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
”  (3:37)


It might be physical provisions, or it might be spiritual provisions. When Adam (a) ate from the tree, he immediately went into sajdah and asked Allah (swt) to forgive him for the sake of Sayyidina Muhammad (s)!!! He said, “Yaa Rabbee! Forgive me for the sake of Muhammad (s).” Allah said, “Yaa Adam (a), how you knew about Muhammad (s)?” Adam (s) said, “Yaa Rabbee, His (s) name is everywhere in Paradise.” Allah said, “If it was not for Muhammad (s), I would not have created anything, I created them for Him (s).” So Adam (a) asked Allah (swt) to forgive him for the sake of Muhammad (s). What do you think Sayyida Maryam (a) was doing? She (a) was also sending salawaat on Prophet (s). She (a) realized Haqeeqatun Nabi (s). That’s why when the Prophet’s blessed mother Sayyida Aminah (r) was giving birth, three ladies came to help: Sayyida Hawa (a), Sayyida Aasiyah (a), and Sayyida Maryam (a). They knew about Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and they were sending salawaat on Him (s). Because of their salawaat, Allah saved Sayyida Aasiyah (a) from Pharoah, made Sayyida Hawa (a) to be the mother for the whole world, and made Sayyida Maryam (a) to be a miracle for humanity to bring Sayyidina `Isa (a).

O Muslims, if we do salawaat daily, it is not enough to give Sayyidina Muhammad (s) his rights. I am surprised with Indonesians. I go everywhere, I haven’t seen people like Indonesians. They meet every day or every other day in tens of thousands in different locations. Not in one location, it might be on one location and then in another location. They block the streets, 10,000 or 20,000 getting together to celebrate the Prophet’s (s) birthday. And all of them eat there, they provide food. In one gathering, we were there for two hours, and there were 5,000 people, and all of them ate. Imagine how much they were cooking and offering people food! You cannot believe it. It was tray after tray of rice and meat for 5,000 people! Think about it. And not one went hungry, all of them ate. That is the barakah of Sayyidina Muhammad (s)!

Allah (swt) will make your life a happy life. Because Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is the happiness, the love, the rahmah, and the shifaa from any disease, and the barakah from every disease.

May Allah forgive us and bless us. May Allah bless the owner of this house, and everyone else here or not here, and wherever they are listening and seeing us. And may Allah give our shaykh long life and give all our families shifaa.

O My Lord "I Tried to Know Your Orders"

As-salamu ` alaykum yaa `ibaadAllah, the servants of our Lord, Allah Almighty. (Mawlana stands)


O our Lord! Forgive us, help us, bless us.


Alfu, alfu salaat, alfu, alfu salaam `ala Sayyidi
'l-awwaleen wa’l-aakhireen. 

Madad yaa RijaalAllah.


We are saying a`oodhu
billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.
 If you are asking for a connection with heavenly levels, you must say a`oodhu
billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem
and Shaytan is just kicked out. And we are saying, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, and angels saying, "Welcome to you, welcome to you, our Lord's servant."


We know nothing. We are only depending on what our Grandshaykh is putting through my heart and speaking. I am not claiming that I am knowing something. Everyone is knowing more than me and according to your knowledge you are going to be judged.


"O My servant! Come and say, what you learned through your whole life?" "I learned this and that, this and that." And as you learned, you lived. You were making just straight on that way? You learned but were not keeping what you learned. What you must learn? Madad yaa Sultan al-awliya, madad yaa rijaalAllah. What you are going to learn, when He, Almighty asking? We must know what we learned and for what we learned it. 


What was the real aim from learning?

"I learned to be driver. I learned to know how to fly planes." 

What you learned?

"I learned to be a computer engineer."

What you learned?

"I learned to build concrete buildings."

What you learned?

"I learned how you may make a car."


Angels may ask, which brand! (Laughter) Going outside because I must swear, okay? Anyone, if not happy may go. More than here, over there swearing on him.


Oh what you learned? 

"I learned baking." 

You, what you learned? 

"I was such a person never learning, but I am putting on my chest and behind me, 'political person,' you know? Because I was first-class person and I just fought against monarchies and coming on their thrones to make my ego happy and to be so proud."

You? 

"I learned to make gramophone." 

"I learned to drive horses."

You, Abdur-Razzaq, what you learned? He is saying, 

"I learned to carry donkeys." So many things. Very happy, Abdur-Razzaq. I am sending him... 

What you learned? 

"I learned to make sausages because Chechnyan people they love it too much and I was preparing for dogs bones because they like it also." 

You, what you were learning? 

"I learned important things that I can't say about in your Divinely Presence, you know?" 

You? 

"I learned to be shepherd."


So many kinds of learning. If the Lord of Heavens asking, I don't know how many people may say, "I tried to know Your orders; I was learning how I can keep my ego from evils; I learned how people can save themselves from devils. You may ask, "What is it, devils?" Devils are cheating ones, O people. Cheating people. Cheaters.


Perhaps through billions, you may take a handful of people who were trying to learn about their Lord. Leave about their Lord, but they were asking to know what are the rights of their Creator. Now people are foolish ones. If you are asking, "How you are in existence?" He is saying, "My dad through my mom   creating me." Your "creator" your mom and dad? Haasha! Ptuh! No one saying that, "My Lord created me." And what was your mission when you are knowing Who created you? Then you learned what was your mission? 


This is for whole Mankind now that they be listening through east and west, ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ - "thumma latus'alunna yawmaidhin `ani 'n-na`eem - then, shall you be questioned that Day, about the joy (you indulged in." (102:8) Ayatul kareema. O our Salafi `ulama, what you are saying? You are Arabs and you are knowing too much; claiming, but you are never saying. Except Arabs, they understand. I am asking to you, what Allah Almighty saying? Asta`idhu billah, tell me, "waqifoohum - Make them to stop!" Qif ! Stop! For what? Innahum mas'ooloon. Arabs, where are Arabs? But I am saying to those proud `ulama, Salafis or khalafis!


وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ - Waqifoohum innahum mas'ooloon  - but stop them, for they must be asked. (37:24)


Why you are not saying Hanafi `ulama? Why not saying Hanbali, Shafi`i or Maliki `ulama? What means salaf? Salaf, you may understand that means: just passed away, from the time of Adam up to today. You are representing those people? Why you are saying (you are) "Salafi"? Do you think that hawaariyyoon, disciples of Jesus Christ; you know what Jesus Christ was teaching them?


Today is a new beginning, 1431 and the Lord of Heavens is not happy with us, because all of us are disobedient servants! You can't find a handful of obedient servants. Therefore, just moved heavenly anger and approaching. I don't know what is going to happen through this holy month, Muharramu 'l-Haraam.  Allah Almighty was reaching to His prophets (to protect them) when Shayaateen and their followers disturbing and rushing on them for killing them. And they were asking, "O our Lord! Reach to Your weak servants. Disobedient servants are rushing on us, asking to take ourselves away and to make this globe only for Shaytans, not to be for Allah." Their aim, their last target and hope is to make this whole world laa deeni - no any religion!


But a heavenly anger is ready to come on their heads! I am running away to Allah Almighty because I am not happy with my ego. If anyone is happy with their ego, they are not happy with Allah, because first fighter according to the Lord of Heavens, was our ego. Our ego never going to be an obedient one. Therefore, I am saying when the Lord of Heavens asking, "What you learned about Me? And then, what you learned about My rights on you, as I am Creator; what were My rights on My servants, you learned it?"

"No, we were secular ones"

"Take them away (from My Presence)!"


Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah.


I was hearing in Madinatu 'l-Munawwara when that eclipse happening a secret sound saying, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah - O Allah forgive me.

O People! Say astaghfirullah. The Seal of Prophets (s) was saying, "I am saying astaghfirullah daily, 70 times." If he is (s) saying it 70 times, for ourselves 70 million is not enough!


You can look and see through the faces of  a very few people, a clean face, brightened face, enlightened face. Very, very, very few! (Mawlana mimics as if grooming in mirror) That man, looking very handsome and ladies at every foot, they are taking and looking. (Laughter) So many ones that they are using so many cosmetics. Coming from them very bad smelling. Therefore, they are trying to cover that smelling from themselves by using cosmetics. 


Sahaba of the Seal of Prophets (s) they were dressing one shirt that you can't know if it was white or black. They had no water for washing and if washing one, they must sit naked waiting for it to dry. Therefore, they are using this for life and my Grandshaykh was saying to me, "O Nazim Effendi, their clothes you can't differentiate if it is white or black, but if you are smelling, it is smelling of best perfume of roses."


Prophet's (s) command was saying, "taahiru turooqu 'l-Qur’an - purify the pathways of Qur'an." Keep clean. It is the way of imaan, the way of dhikr, the way of life. Every Sahaba their breathings, just so beautiful smelling, because they were clean, they were following holy commands of Allah Almighty: taahiru turooqu 'l-Qur’an.


May Allah forgive us. O People! People on wrong way and therefore crisis climbing. Not coming down, but day-by-day getting more and more and more until they are coming to the way of Paradise. If not, they should be taken away! That is, all nations now, looking about expected huge events, mentioned in hadith shareefal-marhamatu 'l-kubra.


Beware, O People! Hear, listen and obey. The Lord of Heavens asking that knowledge: what you learned about your Creator and what you learned about your Lords' rights. How you are doing for His rights? Learn this, no one is learning! Everyone trying to learn about this dunya. Even the Muslim world is trying to be westernized, mashaa-Allah...


May Allah forgives me, and forgives you. We are hoping in this holy month for heavenly help and support for weak servants. We are not claiming we are doing any servanthood but we are asking forgiveness. Forgive us, O our Lord for the honor of Your most honored servant, Sayyidina Muhammad (s.) (Mawlana stands)

(Mawlana Shaykh receives a most honored guest and dear friend, Shaykh al-Islam Tahir al-Qadiri of Pakistan. they are speaking in Arabic for some time, then Mawlana Shaykh gives suhbah in English.)



Shaykh Tahir al-Qadiri from Pakistan. Masha-Allah. Three days for right of guest. Ha. After three days, free to go or to stay, but three days. Sayyidina shaykh jai ziayaran min masafa ba`eeda lahu nur wa khidma lil ummah (Our master the Shaykh has come visiting us from long distance, he has lights and has done great service for the Ummah). Now, law khalaftu sayyidina ash-shaykh kaan nahnu nartah (if our master, the Shaykh, will take our place (speaking), we will relax) for one hour, yawmiyyan (daily)? Welcome to you! bi-himmatihi I like to be that meeting mubarak, blessed meeting.

Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar,  la ilaha ill-Allah. Allahu akbar wa lillah al-hamd. Anta rabbuna, Anta Khaaliquna, Ya Rabbana ighfirlana ma mada bi barakat hadha shahru ’r-rahma. Alfu ’s-salaat alfu ’s-salaam `ala sayyidina Rasulullah. ashfa` lana, li sharafihi for your honor, just created everything that should be created from pre-Eternal up to Eternal, everything just created for his (s) honor, raghman `an al-wahabiyyeen, khazahumullah.


If Sayyidina Muhammad (s) wasn't created nothing was in Creation, no. Therefore, t`adheeman, I am standing up for saluting, for giving our last point of our respects and glory and majesty to Our Lord, Allah Almighty, as well as we are standing up for His most beloved servant, most glorious, most majestic one, that everything was created (for him). For his (s) honor I am standing up.


O listeners! Hear and listen and do what the Lord of Heavens ordering to you, to everyone in Creation. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. For the baraka of Ustaz Shaykh Muhammad Tahir, our most well-known `alim in Islamic world, Shaykh Muhammad Tahir (is) giving honor to our meeting!


I am ashaming to speak in front of such a learned one, well-known one, and beloved one through awliyas also. But his tawadu` (modesty) tawadu` humbleness, he is not going to speak and saying to me, "speak and we may hear." And I am not a person claiming I know something, astaghfirullah, but we are living in a time (when) our masters (are) saying zamaan qaht ar-rijaal, as the Seal of Prophet (s)


قال صلى الله عليه وسلم :سيأتي على الناس زمان لا يبقي من القرآن إلا رسمه، ولا من الدين إلا اسمه،...


sa yaatee `ala an-naasi zamaanu la yabqaa min al-Qurani illa rasmuh wa laa min ad-deen illa ismuh (Hadith shareef: “There will come a time on mankind at which nothing remains from the Quran except its picture and nothing from the religion except its name). So what can we do? We can't leave Ummati Muhammad, the nation of Muhammad; we must speak as much as we can do as a guest coming, and host, he may put if he is a rich one, may put a lamb for his guests; if not, may put ma taqadar, what is there.


And we are saying `audhu billahi min ash-shaytani 'r-rajeem. We must say, because Shaytan is a terrible and dangerous enemy for Mankind. You can't find through all Creation (a greater enemy) as its enmity and hasad (envy) he is the top of envy. The most envious one through Creation is Shaytan! Therefore we must say `audhu billahi min ash-shaytani 'r-rajeem.No one can be able to fight Shaytan by himself or by herself, no. Only they may ask from their Lord to protect him or her from Satan and to not fall down into Satan's tricks and traps.


Madad ya Sultan al-Awliya. You must ask a help from those people whom they are masters. "Masters" means (those who are) trying to follow the steps of the Seal of the Prophet . And we are saying, we have been ordered also, to say Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem because that is a sword that we can use it against Satan and its follower and its soldiers. Therefore, we are beginning and saying, a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytani 'r-rajeem, O Our Lord! Please put your weak servants under Your Divinely Shelter so that he can be in safety on that dangerous enemy, astaghfirullah. And holy order to say Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, (is telling us) "O My servants! If you like to be sheltered, if you like a defense against your most terrible enemy, use My sword that I granted to you, to ummati Muhammad (s): say Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem!"


We are saying and ask istimdad, heavenly support from heavenly masters, that means they are closer ones from Seal of Prophets (s). you must ask from them heavenly help and support. Therefore, say it, don't fear that some wrong people may blame you and saying you are making shirk. No! We are not making shirk, but we are following the ways of Sahaba, that they were always asking heavenly help from the Seal of Prophets (s) istimdad, talab al-madad, to ask heavenly help. Heavenly help you are not finding everywhere.


If a person has a car and when benzine, petrol finishing, I don't think he is going to grocery shop and asking, "Fill my car." What is that? Putting in it olive oil or other oil what he may put. Do you think with olive oil a car is running? Can't be. It must be some idiot one to go and to ask from grocery shop, "Fill my car with something that I may continue on my way." No. It is written "Petrol Station"; you must go there.


Therefore, don't think if anyone making sulook--Ustaz Professor knowing that sulook is the way that taking people to the Holy Presence of the Seal of Prophets (s)--if you are not giong to his station, you can't be able to move to continue your way to reach to the Lord of Heavens. Therefore, people must know what they may be in need for, moving from the stage or from the level of their egos to move up. They are in need of someone's station to fill them with something that you may go up, or you are going to be like snakes, running. Snakes I am saying snakes because other animals have legs, running away. But that one, snake, dragon, snake has no feet, and you may be less than snake if you are not asking the way to heavens!


O people! You are invited or you have been called from heavenly level; you have been invited. O people! You have a heavenly invitation.


Eh! Everyone they like to have an invitation. It should be a big feast, or ghada they are saying, or Her Majesty the Queen's ihtifal, some celebration, everyone yatamana, more than wishing, their hearts running to have an invitation from Her Majesty the Queen. Anxiously desiring. That is their desire to go there. But people now, subhanallahi ’l-`aliyyi ’l-`adheem, they are so ignorant, so foolish, so idiot ones! Because the Lord of Heavens sending heavenly invitation to His servants and saying:  وَاللّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى دَارِ السَّلاَمِ  - asta`idh billah: w’Allahu yad`u ila dari ’s-salaam, sadaqallah, and it is free, saying, "Come to Me. Say, O my Prophet, call My servants to prepare to arrange themselves ornaments, making their as they are going to Queen's invitation, dressing excellent ones, written on invitation card the type of clothes you must dress in that you must come."


For everything there is, what you are saying, (formal dressing) protocol, tashreefan. Protocol is for other nations, but Arabic enough and more than enough for giving every meaning divine and earthly meanings, enough (is) Arabic for whole nations; no need for Arabic language to use another words, therefore, I am saying tashreefa, it is from Prophet (s) to the servants of the Lord of Heavens. OK? Yes. There is invitation, it is free for all Mankind! W’Allahu yadu` ila dari ’s-salaam. Bi ’dh-Dhaat, He Almighty, through His Glory and Majesty saying, "O My servants, come! I am inviting you to be in My Divinely Presence, (giving) My Divinely invitation to you. Tuh (spit) On those people who are not giving that honor for that invitation, and then they are running away!!


Subhanallah, Ya Rabbee, O our Lord, please forgive us! We are so sooooo ignorant ones, leaving, not taking, not accepting, not preparing ourselves for that Divinely Invitation, w’Allahu yadu` ila dari ’s-salaam. How we are running after this dirty life and its dirty ladhaat, pleasure?


Running after that and leaving Divinely Invitation? We have been invited! O people! O our Lord's servants! Look; use your mentality to make a measuring (take account); to where you are running? For what you are wasting your life, for nothing! And you are leaving that divinely invitation and you are not going to prepare yourself! And the way of reaching, the way of preparation for anyone who (is) asking to reach divinely feast (is by) beginning to be a follower from heavenly ones. They are masters. Heavenly ones (who) are living among people, you must look after them to teach you. (Allah Almighty is) saying, "Come to Me! I am preparing you; I am training you!"


That is sulook. People are running away from sulook. We are not created for dunya. They are not understanding this. Whole people they think they have been created for dunya. Dunya is only one spark of match. (Shaykh Tahir al-Qadiri says, "We were created in dunya, not for dunya.") And people running after dunya, not asking more than that, and after while saying, "This passed away and that passed away, and left underground; going to be dust." Their souls (are) untrained for the Last Day. That is important, for Man to ask, who is master? You must ask (from a) master. First masterhood for prophets, then their inheritors, masters. You must try to find them. One is enough. Who inheriting from the Seal of the Prophets (s) is enough, as the Seal of Prophets enough for whole Creation! It is enough for us to find an inheritor from the Seal of Prophets (s), to follow him and to reach your real position and level, here and Hereafter.


It is written, and Shaykh Tahiri he knows, but I am addressing to common people. The son of Sayyidina `Umar radi-Allahu `anhum was once with caravans going from Madinatul-Munawwara to Hajj in Mecca al-Mukarrama. And he was with people, qawafil, caravans and he was going and he reached to a place, the way was going one way, so many people all caravans going on that way. Only there was a munhani, curve way behind that, and they saw that the son of Sayyidina `Umar, Allah blessing them, he was taking that curving and going there and reaching to caravan (through a different route).


And people coming and saying, "O Sahib Rasulullah (s), O son of Sayyidina `Umar, why you did this? The way was going straight from here; why you are taking this curved way?"  And he said, "O people! I just I saw my darling, habeebee, beloved one (s), I saw him that he reached this place and he did his na`qa ash-shareef, camel, taking this way and going like this; therefore, I love to do everything what I saw from that one."


Subhanallah. No place that the Seal of Prophets (s) put his foot on it and not coming a light. Where he passed, that light was coming, and that light (illuminates) up to Yawm al-Qiyamah must be, but:


وَمَن كَانَ فِي هَـذِهِ أَعْمَى فَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ أَعْمَى وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلاً


Wa man kaana fee haadhihi a`ama fa-huwa fi 'l-akhirati a`ama, But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter (Suratu’l-Isra, 17:72). Not blind people can see that but (only) open-eyed people. 


And the son of Sayyidina `Umar was saying (about) the nur, holy light, "I am looking there and how I can leave it and follow you in such a way?"


The Sahaba of the Seal of Prophets (s) were following him (s), Habeebullah! They take their shares from the Seal of Prophets (s) and that nur just astaqar, settled through their hearts. Therefore, (for) Sahaba is something else, radiyallahu `anhum wa radoo `anh, that honor cannot be for anyone else, and that honor there is not another honor above where Allah saying, رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ   -   radiyAllahu `anhum wa radoo anh (well-pleased is Allah with them, and well-pleased are they with Him.)


 (Mawlana Shaykh looks to Shaykh Tahir al-Qadiri, who says, "He explained His pleasure on them first, only then they became pleased with Allah and because of His divine pleasure, they become pleased with Him.")


Look what Sahaba companions reaching such an honor, such a ranks, high ranks through heavens! There is heavenly station and there is over that Divinely Station. Divinely no one can enter it, ill ar-Rasool, Divinely Presence is only for one, ya Ustaz. But seven heavens. Heavenly Presence. Then when seven heavens finishing, Archangel Gabriel coming there and standing, and the Seal of Prophets (s) was saying, "Come with me, O Jibreel," and he is answering, "No way, ya Habeebullah, no way siwak to pass up to this point. If I move from here I am going to be nothing and never going to come in existence once again. Only for one."


O people! Leave Shaytan and its followers, but come and keep yourself with Prophet's inheritors; follow them. (They are) taking you through heavens and heavenly stations. O people! Live for Allah! O people! Don't occupy yourselves for being servants of Shaytan or nafs or dunya or hawa, the four dangerous enemies. Leave them and come!


Aba Yazid, Sultan al-Arifeen, Allah blesses him, was saying, "We reached to a station and asking more. I like to come to You, O Lord."


What was Allah Almighty's answer to him? Itruk nafsak wa ta`al, "Leave yourself; leave your dirty ego and come to Me, quddus muqaddas. Ya Musa."


فَاخْلَعْ نَعْلَيْكَ إِنَّكَ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى


fakhla` na`layka innaka bil-waadi 'l-muqaddasi tuwaa


Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. [20:12]


Allahu akbar.  Allah was not happy that Moses coming with slippers to that maqam, but for Seal of Prophet (s) He said, "O my Beloved One, put your feet on My Divinely Throne, to take honor!"


The honor of Sayyidina Muhammad, saloo `alayhi wa salimoo tasleema. Allahumma salli `ala Sayyidina Muhammadan nabee al-ummi wa `ala aalihi wa sahbihi was sallam... kama yaleeq bi-kamaalihi (s). This (suhbah) is for honor of our precious guest coming here today. (Mawlana is radiant with happiness! Allah, Allah. Just no need to say Dumm, dumm, dumm, dumm, dumm, dumm... singing. Every day increased, baraka ustadh. (Mawlana Shaykh looks at Shaykh al-Islam Tahir al-Qadiri with fondness.) I like him too much!

Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Rahim. Dastur ya Sayyidi! Madad ya Sultan! Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha ill Allah. Alfu salaat, alfu salaam. (Arabic...) in your intercession for your ummah! We are giving most high respect, as much as we can do, for our Creator, Allah Almighty, and to His most beloved and glorified servant, Sayyidina Muhammad (s) whom (Allah) never created like him and (is) never going to create like him (again) up to Eternal. May Allah forgive us!


After two hours, we are reaching the holiest month of the year, marhaban ya shahru Ramadan (welcome O month of Ramadan!) (Arabic...) and forgive us and give your blessings on the nation of your most honored servant, Sayyidina Muhammad (s). We are saying `audhu billahiu minash-Shaytani 'r-rajim. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Rahim, asking holy support from heavens. If no holy support, we are doing nothing! (Mawlana is seated)

 

As-salamu alaykum, O our Lord's honored creatures, our Lord's deputies! The Holy Qur`an is from pre-Eternal up to Eternal; it is holy words of our Lord Almighty Allah, for the nation of the Seal of prophets, most beloved one, Sayyidina Muhammad (s), granted to them to know their positions, to know their destinations, to know for which purpose we have been created. O people! You are not knowing about yourself, about your beginning, about your existence for a while on this planet, and after a while we are disappearing. Yesterday there were millions of people living, today they are disappeared. Yesterday millions were in existence, today passed away: they are not in existence. That is the reason of Prophet's (s) holy words, that he is urging his nation to know from sacred knowledge.

 

(Today) the knowledge people are running after is nothing; teaching them something, but that teaching never giving to them an honor when they are living on this planet and also after their disappearance from this world. And their knowledge (is) going disappear from beginning up to end; that is not a knowledge (about which) Prophet (s) said, "O people, it is obligatory to know Arabic, to know (what is) obligatory on Mankind," to learn (and) to know what heavenly orders (are) coming through the Seal of Prophets (s). And he (s) (is) ordering and advising whole nations that to learn is obligatory from heavens to you.

Before everything, it is an obligatory from heavens that Mankind must learn and must know about themselves; not written on Man to learn some things from material world, to be helper for their physical being. The knowledge people (are) learning now, it is only they are asking that knowledge to be help for their physical being, but it is not what Prophet (s) (is) saying to learn!

 

Some knowledge that giving to you a pleasure through your life on this planet, no, it is not that real target. No! Knowledge that Prophet (s) is making an obligatory on Mankind is not for our physical beings. You may know about your physical being, but finally you are going to be dust and prophets never getting occupied with something that finally gong to be nothing. Prophets have high positions, high ranks in Divinely Presence. They are bringing knowledge from heavenly presence, from the Lord of Heavens. Don't think they are bringing some learnings from your physical being, to make it happy and to do for your physical being a pleasure, or to make your physical beings' life easier!


Now everything that people learning as a knowledge, it is only to make our physical being to be happy, and to be enjoyful, and to be in pleasure, and to be in pleasement. No, because everything that belongs to our physical being (is) only for a short time and finally you are going to be dust. (audio recording fails...) Allahumma salli `ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa `ala alihi wa Sayyidina Muhammad! (Mawlana laughs) Ameen. (audio fails) Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. (audio fails) ... eating everything through you? Your ... "O my brother, just I forgot it; let me to look in my books, where it is." That means his memory going to be on level of zero. We are not asking to give our energy and activity and ability for something that finally goint to be zero point! Therefore, we are insisting what prophets are saying, that it is firm (thaabit), fixed knowledge that can't be forgotten, no! That kind of knowledge coming to Mankind through heavenly ones to holy ones: they may give you something from heavenly knowledge. Therefore, Prophet (s) saying, O People! Ask for real knowledge which you can learn from holy ones!"


Who are those holy ones? They are selected ones to be on heavenly levels; first of all, the Lord of Heavens granting some chosen ones that they may put one foot on earth and second foot on heavens. They may take real knowledge from heavens; it is impossible to take a real knowledge from earth, never! Therefore, people are reaching to a point of finishing their knowledge, going to be on zero point, from where they are beginning to reach on same circle, same point: you continue up, up, then down and down, come and reaching first point that you began there. Their knowledge (is) going, going, and finally to point of zero! True or not?


Therefore, Prophet (s) is saying the insect that eating books like this, there is a reason: that eating your knowledge until you are going to be at the beginning, emptying, beginning from emptiness and ending to emptiness! And it is impossible from heavenly ones, from prophets, and order to them, "O People! Ask more knowledge, not knowledge of dunya, no. It is not our material being, no, it is something else that you are on it now. It is coming to my heart to say to whole people (everyone), I am addressing them. You are begining from zero and forgetting, and making end to be zero! Prophets are ordering people to do something that it is going to be not ending. If you want to know something about this material life, you are welcome also, but if you want real knowledge, you must follow heavenly ones (who are) teaching you and (who are) taking you from level of animals to levels of angels. You are reaching heavenly pleasures, o people, leave yourself to be occupied with material life, to be doctors, to be engineers, to be something to know an authority! ... finally your physical being is going to be dust! May Allah forgive us!

 

O People! Coming a holy month and it is another grant from the Lord of Heavens (tonight). We may use that chance for ourselves through this holy month to learn something more about real knowledge, about reality, about real beings and their existence through heavens! Follow such a people whom they have been granted from Lord of Heavens, through His messengers: take real knowledge (from them). I am sorry to say, I don't care for other books bringing through university and speak on it: that is ignorance. Those people are going to be like a small child, knowing nothing1 And the advice of heavens through His prophets, particulary heavenly advice to whole nation of Sayyidina Muhammad (s), to follow him, to follow his steps. they should reach to a level that you can't reach it (and) others are going to be down.

 

O people! dumm, dumm, that means you must continue researching reality through your short life, if you can reach to keep a circle? connection? chain that you may put a hook on it, you should reach such levels that up to today people are never reaching! O people, try to reach on that level, to be with prophets and holy ones and heavenly beings and angels May Allah forgive us! Ameen.

 

It is honor for beginning of holy month of Ramadan. I am thinking, "If I am living, what (will be) coming through (this) holy month as important advice to wake up whole nations and to get up and not to be more drunk!" (...)

Show the Mercy not the Anger
Khutbat al-Jumu`ah

O Muslims! Believers! Allah swt created Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and he gave him to be the mercy for humanity. The mercy for everything. Where he said in Holy Qur'an: وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
- wa maa arsalnaaka illa rahmatan li 'l-`alameen - We have sent you not but as mercy for what we have created. (21:107) It is not just mercy for human or jinn but anything that Allah created, other than human and jinn, these universes, whatever there are creatures other than earth, we don’t know, Allah sent them as mercy to all these creatures. Because Allah said, rabbi 'l-`alameen, and he called Sayyidina Muhammad (s) rahmatan li 'l-`alameen.



Allah is not just Ceator of human beings and jinn, but He is Creator to all things in this universe, whatever we know or don’t know.


So we don’t give the value of Sayyidina Muhammad. His importance in everything. The importance differs in their understanding from one person to another. Sayyidina Muhammad (s) cannot be compared to any human. Because if you want to compare him, no one went on Isra and Mi’raj. No one went on Mi’raj from earth to Allah’s Divine Presence. And the Divine Presence is not in this universe! It is the Divine Presence it is not created. It is not something difficult for Allah he says to a thing: "kun fayakoon - Be! and it will be."




So no one human being must raise his head as if he know everything as if he is a leader, as if he is a scholar. Leadership is for Sayyidina Muhammad, scholarship is for Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Tazkiyyat an-nafs is for Sayyidina Muhammad (s). to be of high character is for Sayyidina Muhammad. Good manners is for Sayyidina Muhammad (s). everything that you can imagine that you can praise someone goes to Sayyidina Muhammad (s). we are all sinners. No one can say I am not a sinner. But Sayyidina Muhammad (s) can say "I am not a sinner." So there is no resemblance, period. There is no way to compare.


That is why scholarship today doesn’t mean anything. It is not studying books and explaining books and teaching books and giving lectures in universities or giving interfaith or doing anything. That is something like the movement of an ant, it is not anything more.




Interfaith is for Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Knowledge is for Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Why? Because he is humble. He showed humbleness. When someone shows humbleness Allah will give him respect. That is why if `ulama today would show humbleness they would receive from Sayyidina Muhammad (s) secrets. But if they want to break the heart of everyone then you get nothing from the Prophet (s) and you are getting everything from someone else, whom I don’t want to mention his name because he is cursed.


Arrogance comes from Iblees and humbleness comes from Sayyidina Muhammad (s).




O Muslims, there is a big issue today of how to address people. People go on the minbar, and begin to criticize this one or that one. They are not soft as the Prophet (s)  was soft with his Sahaba. The Prophet (s) was very soft with his Companions. He was so simple with them; soft with them. He was not strict with them.




How long did it take for Islam to come and to be perfected? It was 23 years. Today `ulama want to burden people with the full knowledge of 23 years. Today we are in time of ignorance more than time of ignorance of the time in which the Prophet (s) came. If we are not going to follow the way of the Prophet (s) in humbleness people will run away from us.




I see a lot of people who left the ways of their parents and families and accepted Islam. They left parents and family to say "we believe in Allah and His Prophet." What do you think of those people, are they not better than us who are raised and born Muslim?  Of course. We have to respect them. We have to give them more attention. They have less sins than us. When they entered Islam, all their sins were waived. Al-Islam yajib ma qablaha. As long you say shahada it is gone (cleaned). For us Muslims is it gone? No, for them it is gone, but for us is not gone.




So we have to show respect for those converts, those reverts, we call them in Arabic muhtadeen.




Those who  left their parents and families you think that Allah is not merciful to these young converts and reverts. Because they have been guided Allah will forgive their parents even. That is not judgment for people. People today think they are the judges of Islam. They are not judges of Islam, they are judges of their own ego. Allah judge people not us. If we want to judge people judge yourself first. Are you clean?




Today if you do something wrong, what do they do? They take you to court. Then they have to take you to prison in order to clean you. Then you have a record. How are you going to judge people when you have a record of criminality. How do you judge people when you are in a criminal case? How we judge people when we are criminals? So judgment has to be left to Allah.




Those who judge others, whatever their religion they are, we cannot judge people. Allah sent Sayyidina Muhammad (s) as caller to call people to what is good and to call people to leave shat is bad. And he sent him only to give da’wah. He didn’t send him to judge anyone. So you see prophet never judged anyone.  How is he going to judge if Allah sent him mercy to all humanity. If he is going to judge them then he is going to say, “forgive all of them, ya Allah! You are their Lord. You are their creator. You forgive everyone.”




O Muslims. Islam is a taste. It is not letters and words what we take only literary and we go and do things against human belief and human nature.





Allah said in Holy Qur'an,



ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُم بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ



Ud`u ila sabeeli rabbika bi ‘l-hikmati wa ‘l-maw`idhati ’l-hasanati wa jaadilhum billatee hiya ahsanu inna rabbaka huwa a`lamu biman dalla `an sabeelihi wa huwa a`lamu bilmuhtadeen.



Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. (16:125).




Allah said, “Speak with them in the best way, with Muslim and non-Muslim.” You cannot speak with them in a harsh and rude way. They say “interfaith”. Who is the first who brought interfaith? Today they come and say “let us do interfaith.” Interfaith is when you accept the opinion of the other. Not to bring an issue that you might fight with it.




The first one to do interfaith was Sayyidina Muhammad (s). When he was young going to Mecca, to Sham, for trade he used to sit with monks and priests and he used to sit with rabbis to speak with them and he wants to know what is their opinion. It never came to a fight, it never came to a misunderstanding.




What did Allah say? لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِLakum deenakum wa leeya deen – to you your religion and to me mine.” (109:6)



You accept the Torah, it is a light that Allah sent to Sayyidina Musa (as) as mentioned in Surat al-Ma’ida. You accept the Injeel, it is a light that Allah sent too Jesus. You accept the Qur'an, it is a light that Allah sent to Prophet Muhammad (s). Those who accepted the Torah, you cannot say to them they are unbelievers. Those who accepted the Injeel, they are believers (in heavenly message), those who accepted the Qur'an, they are believers. Leave them to Allah’s Judgment.




O Muslims this is something that is coming up every day, interfaith, interfaith, interfaith. Once when I was in England it was an interfaith dialogue there was about 100 people and I was thinking what I have to Sayyidina everyone going for interfaith.




Then it came to me to mention what happened when the prophet went in Isra and Mi’raj in the Divine Presence. Whom he saw there on his way there?  He said, ”ra’itu Musa qaiman yoosallee fee qabrih - I saw Musa standing up and praying to his Lord in his grave.”(It means) “I shared that with him.” I saw `Isa (as) in the first Paradise and I prayed together with all the prophets,” including Sayyidina `Isa (as) and Sayyidina Musa (as). When the Prophet (s) prays with all the prophets what does that mean? It means he is making interfaith with all the prophets that Allah sent - it is a bigger circle.





And when he went to Isra and Mi’raj to the Divine Presence and I am not going to explain that - everyone knows it - but Allah gave him fifty prayers for us every day. Now what happened on the way back? Someone interfered.  It was Sayyidina Musa who met him on the way back down from Paradise.




So Sayyidina Musa (as) asked “What did your Lord order you?” He said, “Allah ordered me 50 prayers.” And Musa is prophet of who? Bani Israel. The Prophet (s) didn’t fight with him. The Prophet (s) didn’t fight with Sayyidina `Isa (as). Why today do we fight then? Islam as I said, is a taste. It isn’t radicalism; it is not violence; it is understanding others and building bridges. It is tolerance and more than that it is acceptance. You have to tolerate others, and more than that, accept what they say.




So Sayyidina Musa (as) said, “I tried my people and I found it difficult. Your people will not accept 50 prayers.”




He said, “Go back and ask less.” What is Sayyidina Musa (as) doing? He is giving consultation. The Prophet (s) didn’t say, “I am the Seal of messengers, I know.” He said, “Yes, but how can I go back?” Sayyidina Musa (as) said, “You don’t need  to go back. Ask from here.”




So the Prophet (s) said, “O my Lord! My brother said his people would not carry 50 prayers, so would you make it less for my people?”




So asking for a discount. So the answer came, “yes, ok, I reduce it by 5.”




So the Prophet was happy. But Sayyidina Musa (as) said, “No you didn’t get a good discount, ask more reduction.”




So Prophet (s) asked more and it was reduced more. And Sayyidina Musa (as) said, “No! it is not enough.  Ask more.” So he was on his ears until it was reduced to 5 . then Sayyidina Musa (as) said, “even 5 they will not pray. Ask for zero.”




Sayyidina Muhammad (s) said, “No, I am shy to ask more.” And then Allah said, “O My prophet. That 5 prayers will be equivalent to 50.”




So even though it is only 5 and still we are not spending time to do it. And how much time it takes? 10 minutes, including wudu. So how much total time (in one day)? 50 minutes. So if you worship 50 times a day how much time is that? It is 10 times as much which is 500 minutes. That is as if you worship the whole day.




So today so many are saying “We are the best. We are right, they are wrong.” Even in the Muslim community, even in the Christian community, even in the Jewish community.




What we have to say? All of us are on the straight path and it is not up to us to judge them. May Allah send all to Paradise. Then we will all be saved. The hadith of the Prophet is that I mentioned last time, not in Jumu`ah. So Allah will say, “I am giving you intercession, you do what you want.” And in Bukhari the hadith says that “Allah will open to me prayers never opened to me before in dunya or akhira, in barzakh.”  And then he praise Allah and praise Him and praise Him and then Allah says, “Raise your head, ask what you want.” Then he will ask to take one-third of the people.  Allah will grant that.




Then he will go into sajda another time and praise Allah and praise Allah. So then Allah will then tell him “sa’l tu`tah -Ask you will be given.” Then he will ask more.




Then Prophet will ask to take everyone (with an atom’s weight of faith) out of Hell into Paradise. He will not want to leave anyone behind.




He will say, “take out one-third.” Then he will ask another time. And Allah will say “take all except one.”  Then that poor guy is left standing there. We don’t know who Is that one. Allah knows best. Then Allah will say to that poor guy “you are `ateeq ar-rahman - You are the one to be liberated by Allah and that is the verse وَرَحْمَتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍwa rahmatee wasi`at kulla shayMy Mercy encompassed all things…” (7:156) Let our hearts to be big to let everyone in, not to make everyone away.




We ask Allah to make us closer to love of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). There are people who might take my words and say, “what are you saying?” Other people might not say it. There are people who can have visions. Don’t think in the Ummah there are not people who is opened to them their realities. Allah said as the Prophet related, “If a person will approach me through worship I will love him. And when I love him, I will be the ears with which he hears; I will be the eyes with which he sees; I will be the lips with which he talks; I will be the hands with which he acts; I will be the legs with which he moves.”




I was visiting a country and one high official and there they are more strict in the way they accept things and he is very high in his position and he was sitting and he was talking to me. When I say high official you have to understand it means a very high position, from a country from the Gulf, that you know some of them are very strict in their understanding. He said to me, and you know he is busy 24 hours. He has 3-4 telephones and all of them are always ringing at the same time.




He invited me for dinner and he said to me, I was speaking to him. He addressed me in a nice way: “I don’t like to say it, but I am reciting every day something, is it good?” He said, “I get up before Fajr by one hour. Then after Fajr I recite.” I said, “What do you recite?” He said, “I recite Surat al-Kahf, Surat al-Waqi`ah, Surat an-Naba, Surat al-Mulk complete. Then I recite 1000 times Salaat al-Ibrahimiyya, (you know Allahuma salli ala Muhammadin wa `ala aali Muhammadin kamaa salayat `ala Ibrahim…).  That I recite 100 times. Then I recite dhikr La ilaha ill-Allah 10000 times, then I recite Allah Allah 10,0000 and then I go to work.”




I said, “You are at 8 o’clock at work. How do you find the time?”




And he said, “I go home and in the evening I recite the same.” He doesn’t sleep more than 4 hours.




He is big politician. He said, “I permit myself to say, that one time I recited Salaat al-Ibrahimiyya 1000 times.  I recite 1 time more and suddenly I don’t see anything and I see the Prophet (s) sitting on his knees touching my knees. And he said to me recite ‘Allah, Allah,’ and he was teaching that to me himself.”




That is not someone who will lie. He is very big politician and he is fixing problems of people and countries.




Then let us ask ourselves what are we doing? We are not important people and we might have lot of time.




When someone recites from his heart, sincerely, for sure he will see visions and see in his heart as I mentioned that hadith: “I will be his ears that he can hear with, I will be his eyes that he can see with.”



Build that sincerity in our heart and miracles will happen. If we are on haqq, we will see miracles. Unfortunately we are not on haqq anymore. Muslims brought the name of Islam down. If we are on haqq at least we will be respected. But we are  not, because we are not on right path.




May Allah keep us on the right path.

Did We Not Expand for You, O Muhammad, Your Chest?

After Salat al-`Isha (includes suhbah after hadrah)

 

A`udhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismi`lLahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu ’l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu ’l-khalwah, nawaytu ’l-`uzlah,
nawaytu 'r-riyada, nawaytu 's-suluk, lillahi ta`ala fi haadha 'l-masjid.

 Ati` Allah wa at`i ar-Rasula wa uli 'l-amri minkum.

Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (4:59)

Before we begin, we will do dhikr as this is the night of Jumu`ah and the night of blessings. Ashadu al-la ilaha ill-Llah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasuluh. As-salamu ‘alaykum: kalimataan khafeefataan `ala-l lisaan thaqilataan fi 'l-meezaan. SubhanAllah wa bihamdih. After suhbah, we will do a little bit of hadrah.

 

As-suhbatu liman saahaba saahib; as-suhbatu liman saahaba saahiban! How to translate that? Association; what can we say about it? We know that Sayyidina Shah Naqshband said, 12,000 times in some notes, and we heard from Grandshaykh up to 24,000 times, Tariqatuna-s Subhah, “Our way is association.” To sit together, the companionship, to be companions with each other. If there is no companionship, it means people cannot be together on the same heart, and that chain of association is incomplete. Like beads of the tasbih, if the thread is broken, all the beads fall apart, as there is nothing to connect them. What connects them is this (shows top of tasbih), which is ash-shahid, the one witnessing. These are all the beads, but the one on top, the big one, is witnessing on everyone. If no one is on top, all these beads are falling apart. If you don’t have that one on top and no thread connecting them, then all of them cannot benefit. They need someone to benefit them.

 

Who was the one who benefitted humanity? Sayyidina Muhammad! Who was the one to accompany him? If you accompany, you become saahib as-saahib. The one who can make you a companion is the one you have to stick with. That is why Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (q) was the closest companion to Prophet (s). Idh yaquulu lisaahibih laa tahzan innAllah maanaa! Prophet (s) is saying to his companion (as written in Holy Qur’an), “Allah is with us. Don’t be sad!” It means, “Don’t be sad, Ya Abu Bakr, because Allah raised me; Allah made me Muhammadun Rasulullah! You cannot say la ilaha illAllah without Muhammadur Rasulullah! I am that saahib to that Divine Presence.”

 

Allah is the Creator. No one can be with Him. There is no ithnayniyya, no two. You cannot be with Him, you cannot be in Him, and you are an `abd, servant. You can be under the manifestation of his Beautiful Names and Attributes, but you cannot be with Him, with the Real Essence. It is impossible! You have to know your limits. So Allah gave that reality of whoever saw the Prophet (s) with his eyes, becomes saahib. That is why if any child saw Prophet (s), even only one time, he became saahib! That comes from Mawlana Shaykh to us!


You can be around Mawlana Shaykh all your life and not be a saahib. You came for a benefit and for certain things in your mind. That is not sahib. That is someone who wants to take dunya advantage from the shaykh, intihazi, opportunist. The shaykh will give you, like the story of Grandshaykh Sharafuddin who was gathered with his followers. Awliyaullah , when giving an advice with students or companions, don’t like to lower the spiritual level of the gathering. He was sitting with his very advanced senior mureeds. Today, if you say there are senior mureeds, you are mistaken; there are fragile mureeds. Since they are all fragile, Mawlana
Shaykh makes them all senior or else they will be sad. What Allah gives, He gives. He can make everyone senior, coming to Prophet (s).


So, in the time of Sayyidina Shaykh Sharafuddin, as he was giving lecture it came to his heart that an opportunist is coming. He can read hearts. He did not open the door yet. That opportunist is coming and Shaykh Sharafuddin knows he is going to disturb the meeting. So he said to the one nearest to him, “Run to house and get the jubbah that was gifted to me by the Ottoman Emperor, Sultan Abdul Hamid, decorated with golden and silver thread, embroidered from top to bottom.” You cannot give it a value today! He said, “Bring that to me.” Today if we had such a jubbah, we will put it under seven earths to hide it! Is it correct?

 

He said, “Go and get it quickly!”

He said, “Sayyidee, is there any king coming?”

“No, bring it quickly.”

And he brought (it), and as soon as that man entered Shaykh Sharafuddin stood up and said, “O, I have been waiting 40 years to give that gift to you.”

He was what? Opportunist! You need translation? He gave it to him, but with the message, “Go away with your dunya, we don’t want dunya here. All the mureeds looked at that one, thinking, “O, that one is above us all. He is so high. He got the jubbah of Shaykh Sharafuddin.” That is not simple. When Shaykh gives a jubbah, it means dressing him with khilafah. That is what people understand, but that is not reality. In reality, he can dress you with thousands of jubbahs and it doesn’t mean anything.


So, all the senior mureeds thought this one was more senior than them. So, he didn’t want to make them feel like, “O, why shaykh gave it to him?” So, he threw in their hearts that this one is higher than all, but really he wanted to send him away.

 

Similarly, Prophet (s) said, “Ya Abu Bakr (q), why are you sad? Didn’t we enlighten your heart? الم نشرح لك صدرك - Alam nashrah laka sadrak? (Suratu ‘l-Inshirah) When Allah says, “Didn’t we enlighten your heart?” He didn’t say “heart,” He said “chest.” 

 

“Didn’t We enlighten your chest? How much? How much?” SubhanAllah! وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى - Wa la sawfa yu`teeka Rabbuka fa-tardaa. Allah said to him, “I am going to give to you, Ya Muhammad, until you say, “yes!”, until you are pleased”.

 

When He says, أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ - alam nashrah laka sadrak, it means he opened your chest to no limits! This whole universe will be like an atom inside your chest! You are mualam, nashrah laka sadrak. “Didn’t We enlighten?” That means, “We open your chest until you say, ‘Yes, I am having enough!’” And until today, Prophet (s) is not saying, “Yes!” How you will say “stop” to the Most Generous One?! وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ wa wadanaa anka wizrak. “Still, We are giving you more, and We removed from you your burden.” Wizrak means the things that burden you, the sins. Does the Prophet (s) have sins? The Prophet (s) has no sins, so how does Allah say to him in Holy Qur'an, “We took away from you your sins?” Prophet (s) has sins, not from himself, but sins he carries for the ummah.


Allah is saying, “I am taking the sins of your ummah from your shoulders.” And what Prophet did? He says, “My ummah! My ummah!” He is taking the sins of the ummah and putting on himself. And Grandshaykh said that the Prophet (s) without any hesitation and without any doubts, on the Day of Judgment in the Divine Presence of Allah, will say, “Ya Rabbee, I will,” and not “I won’t.” “I am taking the whole sins of my ummah on my shoulders, and I want You to send them to Paradise because they are clean. You judge me instead.”

 

And at that moment, Allah doesn’t show Prophet (s) what He is going to do with him, “You do with me what You want.” And that is the meaning of wa wada`naa `anka wizrak, “and relieve you of the burden.” (Surata' l-Inshirah 92:2) It means, “We took away the burden of your ummah.

You think Prophet (s) was with his people? He has never been away from the Divine Presence one second! He never was. Grandshaykh said, “Ninety-nine percent,” meaning only one. He didn’t say percent, but he said only one reality of Prophet (s) appeared on Earth. The other realities will not appear until the Day of Judgment. And what Allah has granted to him of khususiyya (Allah’s special favor) no one knows, not even an angel that is so near, malakan muqarraban; no angel knows the realities Allah will give to Prophet (s) on Day of Judgment.

 

الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ - Alladhee anqada dhahrak. What broke back of the Prophet (s) except this ummah? How he is going to present his ummah to Allah (swt) with all their sins? Is there anything else? Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his Soul, explained that on the Night of Ascension, when Prophet (s) was going nearer and nearer and nearer, until there is no more nearer to the near, Allah said, “Ya Muhammad, who are you?” Finished, there is no more existence! He said, “Ya Rabbee, Anta!” He is not seeing except Allah. And Allah (swt) said, “I am giving you an ummah; look at them.” Prophet (s) looked at the ummah and was so happy. He saw them with full purity, souls in the Divine Presence and in the Day of Promises, so clean! Allah asked, “Are you happy with this?” Not only Ummah as-Sabiqa, Adam wa man duunahu (the previous ummahs of Adam [a] and others), but Allah gave him whole Creation! He is la ilaha ill-Llah, Muhammadun Rasulullah. His name must have a chair; there must be someone sitting! La ilaha illAllah, Muhammadun Rasulullah. Take away ill-a, and you have “Allah Muhammad.”

 

Allah (swt) said, “Take it. Are you happy?” He was happy! They were clean and pure in the ocean of Jamaal, Beauty.

Allah then said, “So, Ya Muhammad, I am giving them in trust to you, but I want them back.”

Ya Rabbee! You give me, I take!”

Wa lasawfa yu`teeka Rabbuka fa tarda. Prophet (s) was happy and he took them clean. As soon as he took them, Allah (swt) threw on them all kinds of darkness that they will do of sins in dunya: angels, jinn, humans, animals and everything.

Prophet (s) said, “Ya Rabbee, that is too much! How I can clean them? Give me helpers.”

Allah said, “You said, ‘Give to me.’”

Inna a`radna 'l-amaanah `ala-s samawati wa 'l-ardi wa 'l-jibaali. “We offered the trust to heavens.” “Heavens” means angels, huge or not, according to its power and does not include Earth, but includes human beings, as in the ayah, “Yes, we take, and take more.”

 

No one accepted, except Sayyidina Muhammad, because no one can return the trust clean. Allah told him, “As I gave to you clean, you return it to me clean.” Allah wants to show suhbah. So from that time we are in suhbat an-Nabi (s), al-arwaahu juunoodan mujannada, “Souls are like soldiers in full readiness.” That is subhat an-Nabi, with Prophet (s). Their atoms, from that time, and we don’t know when that time was because that reality is a secret of suhbah in dunya.

 

We know Sahaba are only who were with the Prophet (s) in dunya. But in `ilm al-haqaa’iq, knowledge of realities, there are some lucky ones who are always in the company of Prophet (s). Allah gave Awliyaullah as helpers to Sayyidina Muhammad (s). That is why they are with their followers from that time, preparing and cleaning and presenting them to Prophet (s).

 

That is why when Bayazid al-Bistami (q) was asking, “Ya Rabbee open Your door for me,” Allah answered, “Yaa Bayazid, you want My door to be opened?”

That’s different and a higher level from Sayyidina Ahmad al-Badawi (r), a higher level.

“You want My door? There is one condition.”

If everyone of us felt he has that condition, we will be ready to open the door to be taken to the Divine Presence! He was waiting to take the key.

Allah said, “Ya Bayazid! Laazam an takoona mazbalatan li `ibaadee - You have to be a dump for My servants.”

 

This means, not for Muslims only. It means, “Where you throw your garbage every day and trucks take to waste management, you have to be that truck that carries the waste of My servants. Go dump it where it needs to be dumped, and present them clean to Me. If you do that, hen you can take the keys to come to My door.”

 

How you can do that? We cannot carry the garbage of ourselves! I feel shy to say this, but Mawlana was explaining one time that in such associations there are people who doubt everything. "There are," he said, "in one association with Shaykh Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani," - in Merv in Central Asia, where their suhbah is not like here, with 200 or 300 participants. They have 20,000 or 30,000! There are countries like that today. You cannot understand it! Last trip I went to Indonesia, there were at least 250,000 in one gathering! All of them they are listening carefully; I was speaking Arabic and they are translating. Gatherings used to always be like that, but today they are very rare and you can find only in some countries.

 

So, "Shaykh Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani was giving suhbah and speaking about how Allah gave awliyaullah a power no one can understand and they don’t like to show it, to show off, because in Naqshbandi Tariqah you have no right to show miracles. No way! In indirect ways (as if it came from something else) you can, but not in a direct way (which draws attention to you)."

 

So, we were speaking of Islam’s greatness and heavenly knowledge that no one is able to write in a book. In past times many scholars learned from awliyaullah . But today when they study Shari`ah in universities, that heavenly knowledge of tariqah is not even considered, and such “scholars” become jaaf, very hardcore and dry, with no sweetness in their talks!


So, one person, his name was `Ali, was saying, “What the shaykh is talking about? He goes every day to the restroom and wants to make himself a wali. When they wanted to make Sayyidina `Isa (a) a god, Allah (swt) said, kaanaa ya'kulaani 't-ta`am (they two were eating food), 'He was eating food, he and his mother.' And that scholar, what is he speaking about? He is bringing all these high knowledges and he needs to use a bathroom!?”

 

"That is what he said in his heart, and that immediately rang in the heart of Sayyidina Abdul Khaliq. He didn’t say anything, but the next day he came for Fajr and there are thousands of scholars listening, and Salat al-Ishraaq came. They prayed and then he said, 'Ya `Ali, ishraaq came. Today you help me make wudu. Go fill the container of water and bring it to me.' But `Ali said to himself, 'I have to take water for him to make wudu?' He had to go far to jungle behind something, and Grandshaykh said it was like a hill and behind it, like slope. So, he took water and came with the water and the shaykh went with `Ali, made wudu, prayed Ishraaq, and everyone left. `Ali said, 'O! Now is my opportunity, to see what he did. How is he big wali bringing messages from heaven and he goes to the bathroom!'"

 

Grandshaykh said, "That was the surprise. And as soon as he went to the top of the slope, there was beautiful fragrance of perfume where the shaykh had been. He went down and found three very small pieces like that of mouse, very black, and they were three droppings with a fragrance better than musk. He took them and kept them in box until he died, and his whole house was fragranced with that beautiful smell."


Awliyaullah are not toys. We are toys, but they are real. We, with our `amal, are toys.


The suhbah teaches you all kinds of sweetness and realities that you can never learn from scholars. `Ali was in that meeting and the doubt which came to him was cleared, and later he became khalifah of the shaykh from among khulafah, as the shaykh can have thousands. And he spread tariqah everywhere. Those who have doubts, let them come! Mawlana’s association in the presence of Prophet (s), in suhbah of Prophet (s), will eliminate and polish hearts of the people attending.

 

And now with my respect to all mureeds of Mawlana Shaykh and with due respect I am, if they allow me, going to mention a small complaint. When you are in suhbah of the shaykh, whatever tajalliyah, blessings or divine manifestations that come on him will be reflected to those sitting around him! Even if they didn’t do anything, he will take them to the presence of Prophet (s)! This is the lowest he does for those sitting with him, who faced difficulties, and traveled to sit with him and listen, so they must get the reality of seeing and listening. He takes you to `ayn al-yaqeen, the Eye of Certainty! And that benefit extends beyond those sitting in the room with him. All those watching on the Internet, he will take to the presence of Prophet (s)! Mawlana Shaykh will open the secret of every letter he speaks in his association to those sitting in that association and to those who are watching the live broadcast!

 

And my complaint is that you cannot be in his presence all the time, especially these days, so he is coming in your presence through the Internet. You will get that same benefit watching him on the Internet and he, for sure, will take you to the presence of Prophet (s)! And that is my complaint: do your best and go and listen. You never know, he might stop it. You don’t know, you may lose his company. On the Day of Judgment Allah will ask, “Did you accompany My trustworthy one?” You then can answer, “Yes, O my Lord, I did.”

 

People go to see world leaders giving speeches in the United Nations, and they don’t listen to the Sultan al-Awliya giving a speech to the whole universe! That is our `aqeeda (belief) that Allah gave to awliyaullah from the Station of Servanthood, Maqam al-`Uboodiyyah. What about the Station of ‘Abdiyya, when Allah bestows the title `abd, His servant. What about the station of “We taught him from Our heavenly knowledge?” We didn’t hear it yet, that is still in the heart of awliyaullah! Don’t lose that opportunity. Tune in daily and listen to Mawlana Shaykh live on sufilive.com! Listen when Mawlana is speaking, wherever you are, at home or at work. Open for two minutes and at least you will get the benefit of suhbah an-Nabi! Later when you watch the recording, you don’t get that higher benefit, but you still get the benefit and blessing of the association.

Suhbah after Hadrah:

We are sweating! One drop of this sweat can extinguish Hellfire, because that sweat is from praising Prophet (s), and Allah (swt) has a high appreciation of that. SubhanAllah! Sweat from praising Prophet (s)---there is no comparison! Our biggest sweating will be on the Day of Judgment, what Prophet (s) described as “the brain will be boiling” and with that, Allah keeps us alive. (He swt said) Kun fa yakun, Be! and it comes into existence. (Surah YaSin). So our sweat tonight is a drop in the ocean of sweat, and enough to extinguish Hellfire! Although on Judgment Day those drops will not be able to extinguish Hellfire, what do you think will happen from our love of Prophet (s)?

Sayyidina Yusuf (a) sent his shirt to Sayyidina Ya’qub (a), his blind father, and as soon as he put it on his face, he regained his eyesight. The sweat in the shirt can bring you back to life! You can see, but you need that sweat, and not everyone can have that sweat. From the sweat of a human being, you can improve your sight. From his pure sweat, Sayyidina Yusuf (a) brought back the sight of Sayyidina Ya’qub (a). May Allah (swt) dress us with that! That is why in Egypt they were thinking about that ayah and they analyzed the sweat of 100 people. They found one common element in human sweat that makes your eyesight become stronger and stronger, and they are developing a patent on that discovery. Sweat will give you kashf (unveiling; that prepares the heart to receive higher knowledge and divine manifestations). And as that brought sight to it, sweat will bring you Maqam al-Mushadah (the Station of Hearing and Seeing Realities).
